Directions - Serial Number (Laptop)

There are two ways to find the serial number of your laptop

Option 1 - Laptop Sticker

Step 1

Turn Computer over

Step 2

Look for a manufacturer's sticker with a small portion that looks like this image.

Step 3

The middle set of characters begins with ST (Serial Tag) and is followed by your computer's serial number.

Option 2 - Dell Command | Update

This option is easier to read and allows you to copy & paste your serial number.

Step 1

Select the Windows Menu icon in your taskbar.

Step 2

Select the All apps icon from the menu that opens.

Step 3

Scroll down in the alphabetical list of software to find Dell Command | Update.

Step 4

The code next to 'Serial Tag' is your serial number.
