At Greenfield and Viking, teachers can alter their grades after they post. Be aware that the office may have sent report cards which will not update following these directions. Check with your front office to see if an updated report card needs to be sent or added to the student's cumulative folder.
Step 1
Open Skyward to your gradebook.
Step 2
Select the 'Posting Status' dropdown menu from the menu bar. Shown below is where you can access 'Posting Status' in your main Gradebook and from within a specific class..
Step 3
In the 'Posting Status' dropdown menu, select the term with the grade(s) you wish to change.
Step 4
Select the 'Change Grades' button

The notice displays the time (about 1 hour) you have to change grades.
You are required to type something in the box labeled 'Reason to Change Grades:' but this is only for your records.
Select 'Yes' to indicate you want to proceed.
Step 6
Make changes to your grades like normal. If you do not complete the changes in the allotted time you can go through this process again to get more time. When you are completed with your changes you can close out of Gradebook like you normally do.
Step 7
Your changes will not be reflected in Family Access until they are approved by the Administrative Assistant in your building. Skyward alerts them of the pending change but it would be courteous to let them know you made changes that need to be approved.
