Using the same password for multiple accounts and keeping passwords in an easily accessible place by your computer are security risks. Consider using Google Password Manager and creating your own password system to help remember different passwords.
To create a password system, choose a few letters, numbers, and symbols to be a part of every password. It's better if they are easy to type rather than easy to remember. Then pick a few letters that will change with each passwords but relate to your accounts. For instance, add 'Sk' to the end of your Skyward password and 'Go' to the end of your Google password. Adjust your password system so passwords meet the usual requirements of being more than 8 characters, containing lower and upper case letters, and using numbers and symbols. Some accounts require you to change your passwords frequently so consider having a number in your system that goes up by 1 every time you need to update.
Below are basic directions for changing passwords on accounts that are common to our district.
Press three keyboard buttons at the same time Ctrl + Alt + Delete. Select the option to change your password in the menu that comes up. Note; changing your Laptop (Network) password also changes your Google password.
Right click the circle icon for your Google account which is often your picture. Choose the option to 'Manage your Google Account'. Under the 'Security' menu at left, choose 'Password' and follow the prompts.
Select 'Account' at the top of the Skyward screen and then select the bottom to 'Change Password'.
