Directions - Remove User From Laptop

These directions remove the user data including anything a user downloaded to the local drive on your laptop but does not prevent the user from logging back in.

Step 1

You need to start by opening the C: drive on your laptop. One way you can do that is by opening the icon of the yellow folder at the bottom of your laptop's desktop. Double click the icon labeled 'OS (C:)' to open it.

Step 2

Double click on the folder labeled 'Users' to open it.

Step 3

Click on the user you want to delete so the file icon is highlighted. You may hold down the shift button to select and delete multiple users if you would like. Please do not delete the users labeled; 'administrator', 'Administrator.Dell3520IMAGE', 'IT Admin', 'Public', or the folder labled with your username.

Step 4

In the menu at the top select the red X labeled 'Delete'.

Step 5

After a moment of processing you can close out the window or return to Step 3 if you have further accounts to delete.
