This Unit aims to develop the learner's skills and abilities as an independent learner and provides an opportunity to work at an Advanced Higher Level on a project area of their own choice. 

The main focus of this Inter-disciplinary Unit is the development of skills through a science based project. The topic chosen by the pupil includes linking with industry and academic experts in the subject.

The research is presented to different audiences.

The Baccalaureate provides an opportunity to develop skills to aid the transition to Higher education. It can be used to give a deeper experience of a subject, demonstrating an enthusiasm for a subject.

• independent learning: autonomy and challenge in own learning
