A Day

    • A reminder that Chromebook chargers checked out from the library should be returned by the end of the day after you’re done using them.

    • Today marks the beginning of the penny war, which will run all week! Don’t forget to bring in your spare change - every donation is appreciated. Penny War Team Jars can be found in Mr. Mears’s, Mr. Delebreau’s, Mr. Frey’s and Mr. Norton’s rooms, respectively. Stay tuned for team totals tomorrow morning.

B Day

    • And now for the Penny War totals as of yesterday afternoon - keep in mind these team totals are a sum of positive and negative points. In fourth place, with - $3.83, the 8th grade boys. In third place with - $0.10, the 8th grade girls. In second place with + $7.55, the 7th grade boys. And in first place with + $20.90 the 7th grade girls. We had an awesome first day of donations, but don’t forget that this competition will last all week! The more money we raise, the more good we can do for our community. Stay tuned for a standings update tomorrow morning!

    • Battle of the Book teams, please meet in the library for a working lunch Monday, December 21st.

    • And now for the current Penny War totals: in 4th place with + $10.60, the 8th grade boys. In 3rd place with + $14.25, the 8th grade girls. Both the 7th grade girls and boys have been bringing in an impressive amount of positive and negative points. Their current totals are - 7th grade boys, + $67.39 and 7th grade girls, + $78.84. There’s still time to donate and still time to help your team win! Donation buckets will be in their designated spots until lunchtime! Winners will be announced during the afternoon announcements!

    • And now for the final results of this year’s Penny War. In 4th place with + $49.94, the 8th grade girls. In 3rd place with + $116.84, 7th grade girls. In 2nd place with + $221.90 … the 8th grade boys. And in 1st place with +$255.35 the 7th grade boys!! This year, your participation raised a total of $1,038.66, A RECORD for money earned during the Penny War in recent LCMS history - all of which will be donated to families in need this holiday season. The Penny War may be framed as a competition, but it’s important to remember that its purpose is to do what we can, where we are, with what we have. When we come together with the shared purpose of helping others, everybody wins. So, THANK YOU for your kindness and generosity which will surely make the holidays a little brighter for families this year.
