Hello, my name is Wendy Day and I am the new 6th Grade English Language Arts Teacher at Luxemburg-Casco Intermediate School. I am originally from Appleton, Wisconsin. I graduated from Appleton East High School in 1987, and I attended college the University of WI - Oshkosh, graduating in 1992. Go Titans!

I also was blessed to live in Sturgeon Bay for five years during my early teaching years, enjoying the beauty that Door County has to offer.

My family consists of my husband, Scott, being married for 20 years, and our children include: Rebekah (almost 17, a LCHS Junior), McKenna (almost 15, a LCHS Freshman), and Ryland (age 13, in 7th grade at LCMS). I am the youngest of seven siblings, and enjoy the extended families of my siblings, their 19 children, and my 13 great nieces/nephews (with #14 on the way!) We also have two aging pups, one named “Darby O. Day,” an Irish Setter, a small elderly whippersnapper named "Killer," who is 18 years old.

We are definitely a sports family, as all three children are heavily involved in athletics. I have been a: soccer mom, as well as a cross country mom, a softball mom, a basketball mom, a baseball mom, a wrestling mom, a football mom, and a volleyball mom. (I think I got them all?) My husband and I have devoted years to coaching athletes at multiple levels (middle school, JV, and at the Varsity level, as well as the young teams that our children were part of while growing up. In addition, we love to travel, explore national and state parks, camp, hike, spend time on the Great Lakes, and visit with our family at nearby cabins and cottages.

You can usually find me behind the lens of a camera, as I love photography. I am definitely a sports photographer, and I love to capture the kids and their teammates doing what they love on the court or field. In addition, I love nature photography, and with our travels around the Great Lakes, on family road trips, and vacation destinations, I am proud to capture the beauty of the locations we visit.

I look very forward to my years here at Luxemburg-Casco, and I will share my time, talents, and dedicated service to you and your families in the years ahead."

Welcome to our Spartan Family, Wendy!
