Luxemburg-Casco ranks as a top 5 high school in Green Bay metro area

U.S. News & World Report also puts L-C in top 20 percent of high schools nationally

LUXEMBURG, Wis. – Luxemburg-Casco High School ranked as a top 5 high school within the Green Bay metro area and the highest rated of its northern half, according to the annual U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Rankings.

L-C finished in the top 20 percent of schools nationally for the second straight year in the U.S. News & World Report study. The publication evaluated 17,792 high schools across the country in 2020, and Luxemburg-Casco ranked 3,496.

In the entire state of Wisconsin, Luxemburg-Casco ranked 113th among 551 high schools in the state, placing in the 79th percentile. In the CESA 7 (Cooperative Educational Service Agency) of Northeast Wisconsin, representing 38 school districts, L-C placed ninth.

“Along with a strong academic curriculum, Luxemburg-Casco has a robust commitment to developing the whole child, creating a positive learning environment and career-readiness programs to assist students in identifying a career path that matches their interests.”

U.S. News & World Report ranks public high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, working in coordination with RTI International, a global non-profit social-science research firm based in North Carolina. Its methodology draws on data from the 2017-18 school year. Six indicators of school quality are used to calculate the rankings: College Readiness, College Curriculum Breadth, Math and Reading Proficiency, Math and Reading Performance, Underserved Student Performance, and Graduation Rates.
