DROP-OFFS & CROSSWALKS - Students need to be dropped off on the east side of the building (the IGA side) before school. Please use the crosswalk if leaving the school grounds and heading toward McDonalds. You can receive a ticket for jaywalking if you cross elsewhere.

OPERATION WARM - Operation Warm is now collecting your new or gently used coats and snow pants to distribute to children in need. You can drop off your donation at the office or stop in for more information.

WEIGHT ROOM & LIBRARY - are now available for use after school. The weight room is open from 3:30-6:30, and the library is open until 5:30.

ACT - A reminder to students taking the ACT test here on Saturday: You must be checked in by 7:50. Bring a picture ID, two No. 2 pencils, your admission ticket, and a calculator.

JUNIOR GIRLS - Badger Girl’s State is being held this coming summer on the UW-Oshkosh campus. You will be able to meet new people, develop your leadership skills and earn scholarship opportunities. If you are interested, please see Ms. Romatowski in guidance.

GUIDANCE

SENIORS - If you require critical financial assistance to go to college you can stop by the counseling office to learn about the Horatio Alger Scholarship. The deadline is October 25th.

FRESHMEN THRU SENIORS - the VFW has a scholarship contest: this year’s essay theme is “Why Veterans are important to America’s History and Future.” Stop by the counseling office for more information. The deadline is November 1st.

BELLIN COLLEGE - Students interested in nursing or radiology- Bellin College has many opportunities such as nursing camps, job shadow nights and information sessions-see your counselor for more details.

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY SCHOLARSHIP - information is available in the guidance office. If you or your mother belongs to the Legion or if a parent or grandparent is a veteran you may be eligible.

FUTURE ENGINEERS - There are scholarships available through the Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin. Stop in the counseling office for more information.

INTERESTED IN ATHLETIC TRAINING? - UW Oshkosh is holding a workshop for high school students on Saturday, December 6th. See your counselor for details.

CAREER IN PUBLIC SAFETY - If you are a senior who will be pursuing a career in public safety, community service, or the military, the Jesse Thiry Scholarship of Honor application is now available in the counseling office.
