Mental Health First Aid Training
Post date: Jul 12, 2018 5:39:52 PM
Sometimes first aid isn’t a bandage, or CPR or calling 911. Sometimes, first aid is YOU.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, August 14-15 from 8AM - Noon, representatives from Connections for Mental Wellness and Bellin Health will be offering Mental Health First Aid training at Luxemburg-Casco High School. You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional or mental crisis than someone having a heart attack. Learn how to help a friend, family member, co-worker or neighbor in need.
This groundbreaking course gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary. These free sessions include eight-hours of training with role playing, booklet, certificate of completion, and lunch each day.
