The Forensics team has been practicing and competing since early February for the chance to compete at state competition. The students compete in a variety of categories ranging from speeches to group readings to individual interpretations of prose and poetry to solo acting. The forensics season came to close on April 20th at UW-Madison with state competition. On a warm and sunny Friday afternoon, the forensics team had fantastic performances! Earning a bronze medal was Gabby Frankow. Coming home with silver medals were Mason Campbell, Brynn Holzwarth, Hannah Maedke, Savannah Kasbaum, Morgan Koss, Olivia Tremel, Shannon Bukouricz, Kate Haga, Sierra Paul, the group of Cassie Naze and Grace Rollin, and the group of Katherine Brand, Julia Ihlenfeldt, Emily Maccoux, Lauren Maccoux, and Maria Pennings. Earning perfect scores of 25 for the gold medal were Kalista Arendt, Megan Jodar, Anna Morozov, Zoe Zimmer, the group of Aurora Delebreau and Maddi Mleziva, and the group of Baylee Nelis, Lauren Shefchik, and Sam Weinfurter. A special congratulations go to Baylee Nelis who earned a special gold medal for earning perfect scores of 25 for each of her four years in forensics. Less than a half percent of all forensics students earn this honor — Congratulations, Baylee!
