Summary of Study

In 2019 the League of Women Voters of Deschutes County Affordable Housing Committee began work to to expand our previous study which had focused on the city of Bend to now include all of Deschutes County. The Committee was asked to focus upon workforce housing, or missing middle housing. Often the community’s workforce is not earning enough to afford housing and too much to qualify for government-subsidized housing. These families are often earning 60% to 120% of the Average Median Income.
