Keeping the Green in Seattle 2000

Summary of Study

What public open space did Seattle gain in the 1990’s? How have the private and public efforts to secure open space worked out? The report also looks at the attempts to secure public funding for open space acquisition since 1990. It is an update on open space preservation issues that can lead to conflict and tension such as the as the endangered species act relating to salmon, the city’s public/private partnership policies, and Port of Seattle expansion in the Duwamish area.
