Follow the Water: A Study of Drainage

Summary of Study

The focus of this study is runoff, whether best 

described as wastewater or stormwater, the history of its management and changing 

practices in response to evolving research.

Although Seattle and King County, unlike many areas of the world, have a good drinking water supply, the destructive impacts of traditional wastewater and stormwater management are becoming apparent. Realization of the impacts of traditional methods of stormwater has led 

to changes through the years in the ways 

stormwater and wastewater are managed.
