Summary of Study
When there are more than 2 candidates in a single-winner election, plurality voting limits the electorate's expressiveness and allows for spoiler candidates.  There are many alternative voting methods, including the 3 most well-known: approval, score and instant-runoff voting.  In addition, there are alternatives to traditional plurality block voting for multi-winner elections.
