Summary of Study
This study evaluates the efficacy of one of the State of Washington's earliest environmental laws, enacted in 1971 by citizen initiative, the Shoreline Management Act, Chapter 90.58 RCW.  It explains how the law works with subsequently-enacted environmental laws and where there still may be gaps in protecting shoreline environments.
