Sphinx are large, intelligent beings with leonine bodies, humanoid faces, and great feathery wings. They are seldom found on the edge of CavernClan and VerdureClan's jungles -- rare enough that one is only seen once every few season cycles. 

Sphinx can come in many different varieties, as they are individuals with different personalities and tastes, but most of them sport a plain tawny hide with eagle wings sprouting from them, and an either masculine or feminine human face and mane. Clan cats of course have never seen humans, but the face is unique enough to look out of place even to those who are unaware. Occasionally, their hides might have spotting around the haunches or swirls of patterns in their fur. Most of the time, their flanks are plain, though. Majority of their variations comes in their wing patterns, facial features, hair colors, and accessories. 

The Clan cats regard Sphinx as prophets of the Divines, and any wisdom they share is said to be a message from a Divine themselves and should be taken seriously. While these creatures are extremely rare, there are two rumored to be in VerdureClan and CavernClan -- one high in the mountains in a den and one hidden in a den shrouded by foliage and trees. These rumors have yet to be confirmed.
