Marmerboks are POTENTIALLY THREATENING.
VerdureClanners CAN be based on them.
Marmerbok are sturdy, heafty antelopes with marbled purple-gray coats and twisted horns atop it's head. It is well-muscled and strong, with an arched neck, high withers, and a sloped shoulder. They have tough skin, a short mane, and tufted tail. These compact ungulates are found in the plains of CoveyClan territory, grazing on the long grasses and moving from watering hole to watering hole.
Marmerbok are diurnal, but are less active during the hot parts of the day. They live in herds of 10 to 40 females led by a single bull Marmerbok, with juvenile bulls being exiled around two years hold to go find their own herds. Sometimes these juvenile bulls form their own bachelor herd of up to 15. Bulls fight among themselves for dominance, using their interlocking horns to battle. When Marmerbok are threatened, instead of fleeing like most of their antelope cousins, they turn and fight back aggressively. A lion attempting to take the weak one of the group might suddenly be surrounded by an angry herd, impaling their predators on the ends of their horns and stomping on them with their hooves.
Marmerbok are almost always purple-gray in color, with white marbled stripes down their flanks, lighter underbellies, golden eyes, and dark legs and dorsal stripe. Bull Marmerbok are significantly bigger than the does, with larger horns used for battle.
Clan cats usually stay clear of these antelopes due to their aggressive nature, and don't try to take one down as prey unless they're feeling particularly bold.
