Kraimeu are large and colorful seabirds that thrive in TideClan's territory of open ocean waters. They have long and narrow wings of which are excellent for soaring above the open waters for long periods of time, and massive talons of which to grab prey with. They're powerful fliers and have large, strong, and sharp-edged beaks, with the upper mandible terminating in a large hook for catching and ripping apart prey. When they're not soaring over the ocean they nest along the cliffs nearest to CavernClan territory, nesting in groups.

Kraimeu, despite being seabirds, have the tempermate of corvids like crows or ravens. They're very intelligent and mischievous birds, and are often considered a nuisance. They hunt in groups by flying over the open ocean and, once they spot something they think they can take, divebomb into the water with their huge talons and scoop the prey up into the air. Unless the situation is dire, these birds then proceed to take the time and play with their food. Once high in the sky with their prey they toss it back and forth like a game of catch, making their distinct cackling calls. Sometimes, if their prey is noisy, the Kraimeu seems to even mock the prey, mimicking it's cry back to it every time it calls out in distress. Once they've had their fill they either drop the prey back into the water from whatever height they're at, or rip it apart in the air and share it amongst themselves.
When they're not playing with their food they're tucked away in the cliffs near CavernClan territory in one big colony. They mate for life and live for over 40 years, having a single chick once every few years.

Kraimeu come in a variety of colors and patterns, but one thing always remains the same; they have light underbellies and dark backs. The light underbellies help them to blend into the bright sky from prey below, and their dark backs allow them to blend into the ocean from predators above. The most common Kraimeu color is blue and other cool colors, with red and warm tones being the rarer variation. They have long colorful lashes that usually contrast with their bodies; if the Kraimeu is cool toned they have warm toned lashes, and vice versa.
Kraimeu are considered nothing but pests by the Clan cats, but make a tasty meal if they're caught or shot out of the sky with kinesis. Their feathers also make for popular accessories, given how colorful they are.
