Quillia are POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS.
Quillia are small, long, weasel-like creatures covered in sharp quills for defense. They normally come in a sandy, tan color to match the dried grasses of the savannas. They have small, round ears and large, wide eyes. Their paws are dextrous, possessing an opposable thumb. They can be heard howling through the night, often sounding like cats in distress. While they primarily roam CoveyClan's arid territory, smaller Quillia may hide about in CavernClan or VerdureClan's forested territory.
From their outward exterior, Quillia do not seem like exceptional creatures- small, insignificant, and a good source of prey for any cat skilled enough to flip them over to expose their soft bellies. However, Quillia come with their own fair share of abilities and defenses. Their quills can swell up into a sharp prickle to ward off any threat, and shed out from their bodies easily to remain a stinging pain in the mouths of any creature that dared to bite at them.
Additionally, their tails have a prickly, quilled end with bright colors. They use this tail as bait, sticking it out from underbrush and shrubbery to attract small birds and large bugs to attack and eat.
Most notably, Quillia are able to see right into the hearts of any creature. They are constantly plagued with fear and headache as a result of this ability, and howl during the nights to shed themselves of the knowledge obtained during the day. Quillia are seemingly pained by their own existence, as well as the existence of others. Despite being able to see Souls, Quillia cannot tamper with them. When a Quillia picks a fight with a cat for no reason, it's seen as a bad omen of their character.
Quillia have a wide range of variation- their pelts can resemble that of any big cat, but also come in a range of otherworldly colors, from pinks and greens to oranges and blues. They only ever come in complimentary colors, or analogous colors. Purple and green would not be a possible color combination, whereas red and orange would, for instance. When in these unusual colors, their pelts appear as bands or streaks of color like that of the night sky. Their wide eyes are always yellow, and their quills always black.
Their quills might be used to pierce ears when a Burrowing Lizard spine is unavailable.
