A sturdy and hard-working group of cats, built short and stout with hot tempers. CavernClan is the toughest of all the clans, burrowing, hunting, and fighting through their lives. With half the clan being nocturnal, and the other being diurnal, there is never a still or quiet moment in CavernClan. They are also the heart of the Great Valley's medical knowledge, having made the largest leaps and bounds in the fields of anatomy and non-herbal remedies. CavernClan is ambitious and stubborn, but are devoted to one another and to their Clan's identity, combatting all insults to their home. To leave CavernClan is a sin above all other. When in the comfort of their own home, CavernClan is an incredibly musical clan, crafting hide drums, windchimes, singing, dancing, and more.
CavernClan, much like TideClan, is a much cooler piece of land in comparison to their neighbors. Oceanic winds and mountain valleys encourage winds to come through cool and quick, and the underground tunnels are always much more temperature regulated than the exposed lands on the surface.
CavernClan camp is a large cenote-like cavern resting in the height of their territory, nestled in the wall of one of the valleys cutting through the territory. Sturdy, rocky walls provide shelter from the strong winds, and the sound of running water trickling through the camp permeates the air. Sunbeams cast down from the holes at the top of the cavern, warming the upper layer of camp.
CavernClan territory is made up of largely winding, dark, and crystalline caverns. Ancient pawprints guide the way through the winding territory, worn down over the years of passing through the main tunnels and caverns. While most of CavernClan's time is spent underground, the aboveground territory is also occasionally traversed- a dense rainforest and steep, crumbly cliff faces. CavernClan territory is rumored to be haunted by the other Clans, due to the apparent lack of feline presence and landmarks- making it feel dangerous and uncharted.
CavernClanners possess Geokinesis, the ability to control all types of earth, including, but not limited to, mud, clay, crystals, dirt, sand, and stone. While kinesis is primarily used in combat, CavernClanners use it for a large variety of different tasks, such as fortifying or collapsing tunnels, moving heavy loads, creating dens and alcoves, or making art. CavernClanners are based on arthropods, excluding aquatic ones. All CavernClanners have gemstones sticking out from the coats, antennae, and unsheathable claws made of gemstone.
CavernClan cats have the largest diversity in presentable features, able to display extra eyes, beetle horns, extra limbs, winged ears, mandibles, and more. They can control the glow of their gemstones, but they also flare with emotion.
