Giant Axolotls are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

Giant Axolotls are, as you can probably guess, giant. They are long amphibians with a rounded-finned tail. They have six feathery external gills, just as a normal axolotl does. Most of these creatures are dark colored, such as black, brown, etc., though some are a pale pink! Salty and brackish kills these creatures. Thus, they are not found in TideClan.
They are not true Axolotls, but similar in the fact that they do not leave their larval state unless they absolutely must. Food is simply easier to catch in the water. When food becomes scarce, they enter their terrestrial stage to leave the water and find a new place to settle. These underwater creatures are not very territorial, and often share extra food with any other Giant Axolotls in the water. However, most are solitary. Giant Axolotls prefer to hunt in large, still pools of water. VerdureClan's damp environment also makes it perfect for them to leave the water for short periods of time. They can still be found in the large river, and can make a nuisance of themselves for CoveyClanners. On occasion, smaller, less harmful versions of these creatures may make themselves home in streams, competing with the cats for smaller prey. This can be noticed in both VerdureClan and CavernClan. Similar to gators and other water-dwelling reptiles, they lie in wait near the edge of their pools. Pale Giant Axolotls may cover themselves with mud and dirt to camouflage better, but most have evolved a dark, spotted coloration to blend in better. They wait until something has stopped for a drink and surge out of the water to grab their prey and drown it. Most are lazy and don’t chase after escaped prey, however, and don’t after larger animals. Apprentices are at higher risk of being attacked by a Giant Axolotl. Most cats know to target their sensitive noses and eyes to get them to release their grip.

Giant Axolotls can come in several difficult colors. The majority of them, due to the help of natural selection, are black, dark brown, or other colors that help with camouflage. Some are pale pink, and very rarely some will be white. Even more rarely, Giant Axolotls can be a chimera- half black, and half pink! Due to its rarity, it's said to be lucky if you see one with this coloration.
