Bone Serpents stand at 16 feet and are typically brown in color with dark brown spotting for camouflage. They are beings with no eyes that are born of the magical energy inhabiting the fossils of prehistoric beasts. They can be found in the far depths of CavernClan's tunnels and are almost impossible to detect in darkness without the telltale rattle of their bony bodies as they slither across the cave floors.

Bone Serpents live deep within the tunnels. They typically will create burrows underground, using their sharp teeth and jaws to crush any stones that get in their way. Signs of Bone Serpent activity are holes within the tunnel walls or floors. If these holes are found, staying far away from them is important. Bone Serpents will typically slip out to flash their purple glow to lure prey, just to slip back into the hole and wait for the prey to stop by. Then, they will launch themselves out of the hole to ambush them, wrap around them, and then consume them whole.

In the darkness, Bone Serpents will have a subtle spotted glow along their back. This glow is also present on their face, taking on the appearance of eyes despite their lack of them. It is said that these features are used to confuse larger predators and lure smaller prey toward them as their glow may be seen as a potential glow mouse from far away.
