Accessories are commonly found throughout the clans, and are made up of naturally found materials from both the earth and from the creatures that live nearby. Accessories are typically small-scale and reasonable to have been made by the cats, and are only large-scale when the original material is also large-scale. Due to a lack of opposable thumbs, finer work such as lace, sewn clothing, armor, and other large-scale, high-detail accessories are not found anywhere in the clans.
Permissible accessories are as follows:
Feathers, flowers, leaves, and sticks tucked into the fur.
Small jewelry such as necklaces or bracelets made out of wooden beads, shells, feathers, rocks, and other items dropped by the cats or out of materials from other creatures and plants.
Small piercings exclusively to the ears, which can be made from Chimetail Shrew metal, teeth, claws, wood, or gemstones.
Wrappings made out of vines or other woven grass, leaves, or animal hides.
Cuffs made out of vines or other woven grass, leaves, wood, or animal hides. Keep in mind certain materials may hinder day-to-day affairs.
Thin metal bracelets made out of Chimetail Shrew metal
Small wooden beads, stones, or crystals used to braid into fur or hair.
Larger 'blankets' made only out of woven grass, leaves, or animal hides. Keep in mind this accessory hinders day-to-day affairs, and should not be present when a cat is patrolling, hunting, fighting, or otherwise needing a full range of mobility.
These blankets are not armor or defensive cover, and are used only for comfort.
Simple prosthesis made out of wood, stone, or other material.
'Hats' made out of woven grass, leaves, animal hides, or other naturally found materials. Keep in mind this accessory hinders day-to-day affairs, and should not be present when a cat is patrolling, hunting, fighting, or otherwise needing a full range of mobility.
'Masks' or covers made out of woven grass, leaves, animal hides, or carved wood. Keep in mind this accessory hinders day-to-day affairs, and should not be present when a cat is patrolling, hunting, fighting, or otherwise needing a full range of mobility.
Wooden masks are not high-detail.
Baskets and other woven bowls are a higher detailed accessory used by VerdureClan's Gardeners. Crystalline and stone bowls are most common, as they are easily produced by CavernClan. Wooden bowls may also be carved.
Bags and knives are among the highest detailed accessories, and are made purely for Healers. These accessories are made by multiple cats over multiple days due to their complexity and difficulty, and are not attainable by the average guardian. These accessories may hinder day-to-day affairs, and are used to carry heavy or large loads, which limits a full range of mobility.
While these are all permissible, please be sure to keep them within a reasonable limitation- multiple accessories can hinder day-to-day affairs and provide a disadvantage, and at a certain scale, some items become unfeasible.
Commonly unpermitted accessories are as follows:
Feathers placed behind the ear.
Intricate or excessive piercings on the ears that may weigh them down, such as chains, connected piercings, gauges, or industrial bars.
Piercings in sensitive areas prone to infection, such as the nose, tongue, or lips
Sewn clothing such as shirts, dresses, or pants that require precision with a needle and thread.
Metal, wooden, or animal hide 'armor' that would provide a defensive advantage. These materials are both heavy and would hinder day-to-day affairs and a cat's mobility.
Any accessory that would severely limit mobility or a cat’s senses.
Intricate, articulating accessories with cogs, gears, or bearings
Intricate, high-detail carved masks
Wearing skulls as masks
Large cuffs or spikes made out of Chimetail Shrew metal- this resource is limited, and large accessories require unfeasible amounts.
Accessories intended to replicate the appearance of Leader-specific cosmetic traits.
Cross-body bags and knives as a guardian, without previous history as a Healer.
While this list tries to be as exhaustive as possible, we cannot cover everything. When creating an accessory, ask yourself the following;
Is it possible for a cat to have created?
Is it comfortable to the wearer?
Does it limit or otherwise restrain an important sense?
