One of the most common creatures swimming throughout TideClan's dense reefs and open oceans is the Sorus- a friendly, seal-like creature. Often found in groups of 3-5, they reside primarily within the safety of the Pearltwine Reef, but may be seen out of the water on the beach or rocks. As relatives to seals, Sori have a thin layer of fur that shields them from the sharp, craggy corals and rocks that can be found within the reefs. Sori have large eyes and thick skulls, which they use to greet each other by bumping heads. All Sori have a blowhole, but it serves no function beyond spraying water for fun. They feed primarily off of shrimp, crustaceans, and small fish, and are a good source of food for TideClan due to their usually friendly nature.
As curious creatures, Sori investigate almost anything they deem as not a threat, a large majority of TideClan included. Most apprentices are warned to stay wary around the small seal creatures, as their greeting bumps can leave bruises and knock the wind out of unexpecting cats. On occasion, large groups of Sori can push small, inexperienced cats further down into the ocean in their excitement, drowning them on accident. They also hold grudges, often ruining the hunts of or harassing cats that they do not like. Most forget relatively quickly, though. Despite living primarily underwater, Sori require oxygen, often coming to the surface for a breath of air once every odd hour or so. These creatures beach themselves often for seemingly no apparent reason, but suffer little harm from laying under the sun for extended amounts of time beyond their coats drying out.

Sori come in a vast range of color, and much like TideClanners, take after the colors of many types of tropical fish, freshwater fish included. However, they may also be one neutral color with one shimmering, complementary color striping or dotting their bodies. Black and blue and white and blue are very common.
