VerdureClanners are typically average cats with long, dense fur. Even VerdureClanners with short fur still have incredibly dense coats! Because of the moisture in their environment, these cats have a double coat, with a harsh, bristly topcoat and a plush undercoat. This topcoat is damp and has moss and other plants growing in it, but VerdureClanners don't mind, as their undercoat keeps them warm and cozy. The plants they produce do not have any medical or nutritional value, and cannot be planted or grown until their host passes. These plants cannot produce large fruits, instead growing small, useless berries. Although useless in life, when VerdureClanners pass away, their plants sprout from their grave site into harvestable, nutritious plants. However, it is seen as disrespectful to collect them. VerdureClanners have thick tufted fur atop their paws, as well as horns or tusks. These horns shed once a year, during mid Wet Season. Optionally, their front paws can resemble a mix between hooves and paws. These "hooves" are individual toes that can move freely. Although herbivores in nature, VerdureClanners can eat meat opportunistically without falling ill. Alongside horns and tusks, their markings and colors are able to be based off of ungulates, excluding aquatic ungulates (Cetaceans). Examples of this include tapir, horses, giraffes, boar and pigs, cattle, ohmpala, and camels.
VerdureClanners are very swift, strong, and nimble cats. A guardian is capable of reaching speeds up to 45mph in short bursts. Most VerdureClanners are capable of springing gaps up to 12 feet in order to cross treacherous gaps or spring through branches. They can match this height vertically, and go even higher if they have a running start!
These herbivores have chlorokinesis- or the ability to grow, control, and manipulate plant matter! This skill is most commonly used to nurture food and create strong, sturdy logs to trade to other clans. However, chlorokinesis has a strong use in combat- the plants VerdureClanners produce can be both lethal and life-saving! Food grown instantly with chlorokinesis has no taste nor good nutrients.

VerdureClan body types can vary significantly! They can be tall, lean, and deer-like; short, bulky, and bull-like; or anywhere in-between!
VerdureClan leaders have much larger horns, and they sometimes even have two sets of them! They may also have one set of horns and a set of tusks. They also have cloven hooves instead of hind paws. Much more plant matter grows in their fur, but oddly, it doesn't hinder their ability to move. VerdureClan leaders are also much faster than guardians- they can reach blinding speeds of 60mph in short bursts, and leap gaps of nearly 18 feet. Leaders also have much greater chlorokinetic abilities! Their Leader marks are usually on their foreheads or upper hind legs!

VerdureClan leaders are the only Leaders blessed with a Divine Form- gifted by Flora-soul themselves to Venomstar during the final battle with Virtueblossom. In this form, leaders are flooded with Holy and Earthly energy, bolstering them in size and ferocity. This form is exhausting to maintain and drains magic quickly, bleeding in the form of oversized features and sprouted horns and hooves, turning leaders into something that closer resembles their ungulate inspirations. While this form varies greatly, most often, leaders resemble a bull or deer-like animal.
Leaders can assume this form for a maximum of an hour before they are bled of too much magical energy to function. There is a long resting period afterwards, taking 2-3 days to recuperate fully.
VerdureClanners are generally averagely built cats with long, dense, double-coated fur, although other VerdureClanners may be tall, short, or have a different body build. They may be based on a tropical or subtropical ungulate. Their paws have thick, tufted fur covering them. Optionally, their front paws can resemble paw-like hooves that are individual toes. These cats have horns or antlers atop their heads, which are no taller than 1.5x the length of their ears, but can be shorter. They may have a singular horn. Curved, ram-like horns have an exception, and can curve around their ears at a reasonable size. VerdureClanners may have tusks instead of horns. Tusks follow this same maximum sizing, but are typically much shorter. Plants grow in their topcoats, covering up to 35% of the body. These plants do not produce large fruits, only small, useless berries. Multiple plants can grow at a time. VerdureClan coats always have moss on them, although it may not be completely visible. Some cats could even just have moss for the majority of their pelt!
VerdureClan Leaders have much larger horns than their Guardians, with an unlimited size cap within reason. Although their horns are typically 4 to 5x the size of their ears. VerdureClan leaders may also present 2 pairs of horns. If they have tusks, these tusks may also become larger. Plants may grow to cover up to 60% of their body, but do not hinder movement. Their hind legs fade into cloven hooves instead of paws.

All VerdureClanners have an amulet, an item that is culturally significant to the Clan. Because of this significance, this information is at home on the Traditions & Folklore page.
