Mossmosets are NONTHREATENING.

Mossmosets are small, fast monkeys that are native to the jungles of VerdureClan, and can sometimes be found in the lower areas of CavernClan's above ground territory. All Mossmosets grow a fuzzy mane of moss, grass, and other flora around their necks, backs, legs, and the end of their tails. They are about the size of a two month old kitten, and are found living up in the trees in very large colonies. They have opposable thumbs and prehensile tails, and are capable of zipping through the trees at incredibly high speeds.
Mossmosets are incredibly smart creatures that utilize rocks, sticks, and many other resources to build nests and connections between their homes, as well as find and obtain foods that they are otherwise incapable of. They are very sociable creatures who chatter away all day. Mossmosets take great interest in the doings of VerdureClan, and it's not uncommon for one to hitch a ride in the horns of or on the pelt of cats who are patrolling the territory. While some view them as a nuisance, they are actually very helpful within VerdureClan's gardens. When shown what to do, these little creatures can learn how to dig spots for seeds and unearth stubborn plants in exchange for food or trinkets. They are also amazing pest control as they do not fancy eating plants, and snack on the bugs and grubs that threaten the health of the gardens. Mossmosets remember faces very well, and harass cats they don't like with shrieking and throwing rocks. On the other hand, they flock around and follow cats that they like, offering food, trying to clean their fur, and showing them interesting items. Mossmosets also act as great warnings for patrols, as they make alarm calls when they spot a threat lurking in the forest. Apprentices often take them in as 'pets,' but the little monkeys leave on their own after a while. Sitting around in a camp is quite boring!

Mossmosets don't vary much within the species, coming in shades of brown and tawny with darker warm gray faces, feet, and hands. All of them have that same mossy mane around their heads and flora growing from their body and, similar to their VerdureClanner friends, these flora vary amongst themselves. Different colored flowers, sprouts, and everything in between!
Whether viewed as a pest or a helpful friend, VerdureClanners value these little monkeys!
