Learning Experience
Students used the design thinking process to identify a problem, perform a market analysis, and come up with a solution - EcoEats. This lesson is #LifeReady because students are communicating, collaborating, and thinking critically and creatively. This project is authentic and connected, as well as student-owned. The EcoEats platform connects local businesses with excess food to organizations needing food, creating a sustainable and impactful food distribution network.
What did the student(s) learn about this experience:
"Creating EcoEats was both a challenge and a learning experience for us. Because we made the website for the Conrad Challenge, we had a limited time frame and had to follow the set regulations. However, we thrived under the pressure and improved our presenting, coding, and brainstorming skills. Through the Henrico Innovation Challenge, we were able to receive valuable feedback to improve our idea and website as well as a scholarship that allowed us to compete in the Conrad Challenge for free. Overall, creating EcoEats was a valuable experience that helped us improve and create our website and application." - Pranav
