Psychedelics: Hallucinogenic, and Dissociative Drugs

According to the National Institute for Drug Abuse, Hallucinogenic and Dissociative Drugs, both sometimes referred to as Psychedelic drugs, "distort the way a user perceives time, motion, colors, sounds, and self. These drugs can disrupt a person’s ability to think and communicate rationally, or even to recognize reality, sometimes resulting in bizarre or dangerous behavior. 

The main difference in these similar drugs are Hallucinogens cause emotions to swing wildly and real-world sensations to appear unreal while Dissociative  drugs make a user feel out of control and disconnected from their body and environment.   For A full Article:  CLICK HERE.  The most popular Hallucinogens are LSD and "shrooms" aka magic mushrooms.  

The most popular Dissociatives are PCP aka Angel Dust, Ketamine (aka Special K and generally considered a club drug) and Salvia.
