Various Plans and Methods

NOTE:  Most of these plans promote weight loss.  Some of them, promote healthy lifestyles and supplementation.

In the opinion of Mr. Corabi, Health teacher at the Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, everyone is different and different plans OR adaptations to the commercial plans must be individualized for each person.

That said, he recommends plans that are all-natural or organics, does not eliminate any nutrient, and stays away from stimulants.  There are a BUNCH of Plans below for your consideration

Fasting Plans (not starvation)

It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to realize that Fasting diets ARE NOT starvation and not eating disorders.  People who practice Fasting diets and follow the advice of trained Physicians, Nutritionists or Health Coaches do take in healthy calories.  Some Fasting plans are designed to boost metabolism while others are for detoxification.

Do not do them too long or without following specific guidelines from a health care professional

Meal Replacement & Calorie Counting Commerical Eating plans

Meal Replacement plans use shakes or protein bars to limit the number of calories taken into the body while still giving your body the nutrients it needs. They work for weight loss but once they are stopped, the weight tends to come back. They can be healthy but be careful of added sugars and other, unnatural ingredients.  Calorie Counting plans make the user limit their calories but also provide meal replacements.  These can also be healthy but often, have artificial ingredients as well.  Be careful when doing any of these plans but followed correctly, you may see benefits while getting the proper nutrition you need
