Case Western is a strong, research-oriented school with fantastic opportunities and amazing financial aid. It's known for its world-renowned STEM programs (specifically in engineering and biology) that focus on research, applied learning, and solving problems. Hands-on learning outside of the classroom is big as well, with an innovation center that allows students to create a prototype of a design and co-ops that allow students to get paid work experience while in school. While a medium-sized, its location in Cleveland and strong Greek life presence give it a big-school feel. Academics are challenging, but professors are passionate and well-qualified, and the university has free tutoring available for students.
