Skidmore seeks to develop well-rounded, open-minded, and interested students – they really stress time outside academics, which is sometimes hard to find. Professors are engaging and expect a lot in class, but there are great resources available. They are especially known for business, and they have a pretty decent balance between arts and sciences. It’s an outdoorsy location with diverse club opportunities, and the school has been described as “hipster.” It has a small college atmosphere, with the access of a bigger university.
