Dickinson is a liberal arts college with a focus on sustainability, service, and global engagement. Because of this, more than half the students study abroad. Students have a lot of freedom to study and take classes in many different disciplines. A lot is expected academically, so a lot of work is required outside of class. That being said, professors are accessible and eager to assist. Overall, the student body is friendly and involved and there's an energetic party scene.
