U Denver is the only major mid-sized, private university between Tulsa and the West Coast and has a lot of similarities to public flagships. Professors are lively and passionate, and students are progressive and outdoorsy. Networking happens almost without effort, and connections with the Denver business community are strong. The school espouses a global view and interdisciplinary approach to learning, with one of the best study abroad programs in the nation.

Popular majors / known for: Finance, marketing, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Business, International Relations

Academic approach: Private research university. At DU, we believe the genius is in the doing. Through our Four-Dimensional (4D) Experience, students take part in small, focused classes, where they improve understanding through conversations that draw from the vast range of experiences and perspectives of our diverse community.

Campus tradition: First Snow! When the first inch of snow has accumulated on campus, students and professors meet in the "SNOW ZONE" to make snowmen and drink hot cocoa. Explore other DU student traditions here!
