Whitman has rigorous, idealistic academics with a relaxed attitude. Though it’s a fairly chill environment, students are intelligent, ambitious, and a bit nerdy. The school seeks to build critical thinking skills through discourse, and hanging out with professors outside of class is common – which is great for connections and professional development. This is indicative of the general top-notch student support, and keeping red tape to a minimum. Aside from academics, everything is within close walking distance, there’s partying on the weekend, and they have four great seasons.
