Engineering

Many students think that only large public institutions have robust engineering programs, but in fact, many private colleges offer engineering as well! Below are a number of schools that offer excellent opportunities for undergraduate engineering and research, while maintaining strong financial aid offerings.

Some of these schools offer a separate school of engineering, while others treat engineering like any other major within a broader liberal arts education. The school-wide acceptance rate may be higher than the engineering program's acceptance rate. As you are researching schools, consider whether you want to zero in on engineering or sample a wide variety of courses on the side. Depending on your curiosities, some of these schools may fit you better than others!
