Music and Performing Arts Opportunities
University of Miami’s Frost School of Music has been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) since 1939. NASM accreditation ensures that schools are meeting national standards for music schools.
Frost School of Music has a fantastic BA program for students who want a strong music education with a grounding in the liberal arts, in addition to their BM program for students who want a degree focused more on music. Both degree programs require an audition.
The Band of the Hour is the school’s marching band and pep band. As a school with a lot of spirit, this makes them a big part of campus events.
Miami also offers BAs in Theater, and a BFA program where students can study Musical Theater, Theater Management, Stage Management, and Design/Production.
