Furman is located on a beautiful campus with a warm, challenging academic community. Classes are small, with passionate professors, which creates an overall engaging education. Professors aren't easy graders - science programs are especially tough. The student body is inclusive and close-knit, emphasizing studying during the week and parties or weekend trips to Greenville during the weekend.

Academic approach: Liberal arts education that “integrates classroom learning and access to premier academic programs with experiences in research, internships, study away and community-centered learning”

Campus tradition: Furman is known for its picturesque fountains; during freshman orientation, one night is designated to "fountain-hop" and splash in the fountains across campus - the same tradition occurs on the last day of class senior year.
