U Richmond is a smaller, suburban school with a pre-professional climate, rooted in the liberal arts and community involvement. Courses are tough, and the environment is competitive; students are driven and come prepared to work hard. The school encourages students to find internships and jobs by graduation and provides support to that end. There's a strong international emphasis, with great study abroad programs. Students are in general type-A, innovative, and driven.

Popular majors / known for: Business, Political Science, Economics, Interdisciplinary Studies

Academic approach: Liberal arts with some pre-professional schools, including a business school and school of leadership studies.

Fun fact: Every October, U Richmond hosts Trick or Treat Street, where the campus and surrounding community come together to celebrate Halloween while supporting a local charity. Activities include a straw maze, haunted forest, petting zoo, and bouncy house
