Rhodes College

Rhodes College boasts a beautiful campus in the heart of Memphis and offers a safe, welcoming atmosphere with highly individualized study. Academics are on the challenging side, but still manageable. Professors are one of Rhodes' best assets and tend to teach smaller classes. The administration is dedicated to student success, and students themselves adhere to a comprehensive honor code. Greek life is huge here, though there’s plenty to do in Memphis too. Hard workers and overachievers will fit in perfectly at Rhodes.

Fun Fact: "The Rat"

• The primary cafeteria on campus, the Catherine Burrow Refectory, is affectionately known by students as "The Rat." No reflection on the quality of the food, the name has several different stories attached to it. One of them stems from a group of cafeteria employees who started an intramural sports team. They called themselves the Rat Pack, which students shortened to The Rat. In honor of the Rat’s name, there is a small statue of a rat outside the dining hall.
