The Gods
While Krynn boasts a pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, there are many entities of greater power and importance in the Multiverse. These entities have agreed, through mutual enforcement, that none shall fully manifest in Krynn Space. This law, known as the Law of Celestial Order, was created and agreed upon to protect the Multiverse from the effects of a God using the Mirror of Nuitari. The Mirror was housed on Krynn in an undetectable location until the year 18 AC when adventurers removed the Mirror from its hiding spot. As a result, a war began between the peoples of Krynn and the undead forces of Lord Vecna who seeks to control the power of the mirror and remake the multiverse in his own demented image. Since, by celestial law, the greater gods can not manifest on Krynn accept as a fully imbibed avatar, some have selected individuals to represent their interests in the conflict.
