16 - blame game

February 25, 2013: TNT aired by first time the episode being in production when Larry Hagman passed away due to cancer. It was last 22nd November and the actors were in the middle of filming a "hostage situation": fugitive Vicente Cano (played by the "immortal" Tony Almeida from "24", Carlos Bernard) had invaded the main house and threatened with killing the women if Chris didn´t give him the infamous secret of methane drilling. The episode seemed to end positively when, unexpectedly, Sue Ellen sided John Ross against Bobby and Chris. That moment, the real war of the Ewings began (and probably, also the true future main storyline for the TNT´s "Dallas"). Even so, the show´s writers had to do a rushed rewriting of the remaining episodes to explain J.R.´s (and Larry´s) death, although allegedly they used 90% of what they had already written. Meanwhile, Bobby´s current wife...but who cares about her anyway?

En mayo de 2013, TNT España estrenaba el episodio que se rodaba cuando Larry Hagman falleció a consecuencia del cáncer. Sucedía el pasado 22 de noviembre y los actores se encontraban en pleno rodaje de una "trama de rehenes": el fugitivo Vicente Cano (interpretado por el "inmortal" Tony Almeida de "24", Carlos Bernard) había invadido la casa principal y amenazaba con matar a las mujeres si Chris no le entregaba el célebre secreto de la explotación del metano. El episodio parecía acabar en final feliz cuando, inesperadamente, Sue Ellen se aliaba con John Ross y contra Bobby y Chris. En aquel momento, daba inicio la verdadera guerra de los Ewing (y, seguramente, también la auténtica trama de la nueva "Dallas" en el futuro). Los guionistas de la serie tuvieron que reescribir a toda prisa los episodios restantes para justificar la muerte de J.R. (y de Larry), aunque, según declararon, se utilizó el 90% de lo que ya habían escrito. Mientras, la actual mujer de Bobby...pero, ¿en realidad a alguien le preocupa ella...?
