248 - up the spout again

September 28, 1989: "Knots Landing" started its eleventh season (the first without its female J.R. Abby in 9 years) with Paige Matheson (Nicollette Sheridan) suspecting that her on/off lover Greg Sumner (William Devane) may be responsible for ordering a series of murders. Val is dating a married guy who will turn out to be a rapist and a psycho, Karen doesn´t know that her friend Paula (Melinda Culea) has put an eye on her husband Mack (Kevin Dobson), Sumner´s former spin doctor Ted Melcher (Robert Desiderio) is revealed to be the real killer and is going after Paige, and Gary, who has befriended a woman on the phone, hears how she is attacked by someone and cannot do anything for her!! And yes, the man in question is Val´s current boyfriend!

"California" comenzaba su undécima temporada (y primera sin su J.R. con faldas Abby en 9 años) con Paige Matheson (Nicollette Sheridan) sospechando que su amante Greg Sumner (William Devane) puede ser responsable de una serie de crímenes. Val sale con un hombre casado que resultará ser un violador y un psicópata, Karen ignora que su amiga Paula (Melinda Culea) le tiene puesto el ojo a su marido Mack (Kevin Dobson), el ex director de campaña de Sumner, Ted Melcher (Robert Desiderio) aparece como el verdadero asesino y persigue a Paige, y Gary, que ha trabado amistad con una mujer por teléfono, escucha cómo es atacada por alguien y no puede hacer nada por ayudarla. Y sí, el hombre en cuestión es el actual novio de Val.
