(James Farentino ya no aparece en esta temporada. Irán sumándose a la cabecera nuevos actores como Geoffrey Scott (Mark Jennings) a partir del 5º episodio, Kathleen Beller (Kirby Anders) desde el séptimo, y de nuevo Heather Locklear como Sammy Jo en 3 episodios más, y Pamela Bellwood como Claudia en cuatro, al principio de la temporada y al final. Continúan como secundarias Virginia Hawkins y Betty Harford.

This Season, James Farentino does not appear any more. Included in the opening are new stars like Geoffrey Scott (Mark Jennings) from episode 5 on, Kathleen Beller (Kirby Anders) from ep. 7, and returning will be Heather Locklear as Sammy Jo in 3 more episodes, and Pamela Bellwood as Claudia in four, at the beginning of the season and at the end. 1/38 - "THE PLEA" (LA SÚPLICA)

Krystle encuentra a Blake en las montañas y lo lleva al hospital. Nick Toscanni ha desaparecido. Cecil también es ingresado en el hospital, muy débil. La policía investiga el secuestro del bebé. Los sospechosos son: Farouk Ahmed, Nick Toscanni, la enfermera Susan y un anciano empleado del cementerio llamado Alfred Grimes. Alexis quiere casarse con Cecil en el hospital cuando mejora: "No planeo servir bebidas o traer a mis damas de honor, y celebrar un banquete con champán, si eso es lo que le molesta" - le dice al doctor. Blake se recupera y acude a la TV con su familia, para ayudar a localizar al bebé, ofreciendo una recompensa a quien pueda encontrarle. Alexis toma la palabra y explica que su hijo Adam fue raptado de pequeño. En Montana, Michael Torrance descubre de repente que es en realidad Adam Alexander Carrington, a través de su abuela moribunda.

Krystle finds Blake in the mountains and gets him to the hospital. Nick Toscanni disappears. Cecil is also brought to the hospital, and he's very weak. A police investigation is started to find the baby. The suspects are: Farouk Ahmed, Nick Toscanni, nurse Susan, and an old cemetery worker called Alfred Grimes. Alexis wants to marry Cecil at the hospital when he's better: "I'm not planning on having a bevy or bridesmaids and a champagne reception, if that's what's bothering you" - she tells the doctor. Blake recovers and to help with finding the baby he goes on TV with the whole family, and says he's give a reward to the one who can find little Blake. Alexis also stand forward and tells about their son, Adam, who was kidnapped when he was a baby. In Montana, Michael Torrance suddenly is told by his dying grandmother, that he really is Adam Alexander Carrington.

Michael va a Denver a averiguar quién es. Alexis y Cecil planean casarse en el hospital. Claudia desaparece y Blake sospecha que pueda haber raptado al niño. Farouk Ahmed le dice: "Ya sabe cómo me sentí cuando rechazó mi oferta. La oferta de mi querido hermano. Bueno, su hija es fértil; tal vez algún día pueda tener otro hijo." En la azotea de un elevado edificio, Claudia sostiene a un bebé en sus brazos y se niega a entregarlo, creyendo que es Lindsay. Al final el bebé cae desde la azotea, pero resulta ser sólo una muñeca.

Michael goes to Denver to find out who he is. Alexis and Cecil plan a wedding in the hospital. Claudia disappears and Blake suspects her of kidnapping the baby. Farouk Ahmed tells him: "So now you know how I felt when you turned down my offer; my beloved brother's offer. Well, your daughter is fertile; perhaps one day there will be another child." There's an exciting drama on the roof of a tall building. Claudia has the baby in her arms and refuses to give her away, thinking it's Lindsay. She finally throws the baby over the edge, but it turns out it was only a doll.

3/40 - "THE WEDDING" (LA BODA)

La familia recupera al bebé de manos del verdadero secuestrador, Alfred Grimes, que es el padre de Roger Grimes. Claudia ingresa en un sanatorio mientras Fallon comienza a buscar empleo. Blake le ofrece su hotel La Mirada. Luego ella conoce a Michael sin saber que pueden ser hermanos. Alexis discute con Krystle:

"Su hijo... Como el bebé de arriba es "su" nieto, y tú, "su" mujer, y Fallon "su" querida hija, y Steven es "su" vergüenza... El futuro va a ser muy diferente, porque dentro de poco, esta impecable familia tendrá noticias mías, y sobre todo tú te avergonzarás de lo que oigas. Krystle Jennings Carrington... La antaño y quizá futura admirable secretaria..." Michael va a ver a Blake, que le rechaza cuando dice que es su hijo Adam. Cecil y Alexis se casan en el hospital, pero él fallece minutos después, no sin antes decirle:

"Alexis, ¿temiste por un momento que no fuera a responder? ¿Que podía haber expirado antes de ese momento grandioso y sagrado? Cómo podía hacer eso cuando mi regalo de bodas no tiene comparación. Puedo irme a la tumba riéndome, al saber que te he dejado poder y dinero y a ti en guerra con Blake... Cariño, ¿qué pasa, te preocupa lo que estamos hablando en la luna de miel?"

The baby is recovered from the real kidnapper, Alfred Grimes, and it turns out he's the father of Roger Grimes. Fallon fires Susan. Claudia leaves for a sanitarium. Fallon starts looking for a job. Blake gives her his hotel La Mirada. She and Michael meet, but without knowing they may be brother and sister. Alexis has an argument with Krystle:

"*His* son! Like the baby upstairs is *his* grandson, and you're *his* wife, and Fallon is *his* darling daughter, and Steven is *his* embarrassment! The future is going to be very different, because in a very short time, this faultless family is going to be hearing from me, and you especially are going to cringe at what you hear! Krystle Jennings Carrington! The oh, so sterling once, and maybe future, secretary!" Michael seeks Blake, but Blake rejects him when he says he's his son, Adam. Cecil and Alexis get married in the hospital, but Cecil dies a few minutes after the ceremony, not before saying:

"Were you for a moment frightened that I wasn't going to answer, Alexis? That I might have expired before the grand and holy moment. How could I when my wedding gift, a gift without peers is such that I do so. I can leap into my grave laughing, knowing that I've left you with power and money and with you and Blake at each other's throats. What's the matter, sweetheart, is this honeymoon talk upsetting you?"

Adam le muestra a Alexis el sonajero de plata que llevaba cuando fue raptado y ella le cree. "Qué ironía, ¿verdad?" - comenta Blake. Alexis ofrece a su hijo pródigo Adam un puesto en la Colbyco. Le dice a Krystle: "He recuperado a mi hijo, tengo a Adam y nada podrá hacerme daño o causarme infelicidad. Ni siquiera tú." "¿De verdad te sientes feliz, Alexis? Pues yo lo estoy por ti porque tal vez ahora que tienes algo con lo que llenar tu vida vacía, por fin saldrás de la nuestra." Blake empieza a creer que Adam es realmente hijo suyo. Fallon y Adam siguen tonteando sin saber que son hermanos. Adam cena con Krystle y Blake, pero todo acaba mal. Alexis conoce finalmente al primer marido de Krystle, Mark.

Alexis gives her newfound long-lost son Adam a job at Colbyco. She says to Krystle: "I've found my child. I've got Adam and nothing can ever hurt me or make me unhappy again. Not even you. " "Are you happy Alexis, really happy? Then, I'm happy for you because maybe now with something of your own to fill that empty life of yours, you'll finally get out of ours. " Blake starts to believe that Adam may actually be his real son. Fallon and Adam keep flirting with each other, not knowing they are siblings. Adam has dinner with Krystle and Blake, but it ends with a conflict. Alexis finally meets Krystle's first husband, Mark.

Blake intenta acercarse a Adam, pero este lo repudia. Alexis informa a Mark de que sigue casado con Krystle. Mark busca un empleo como profesor de tenis en el hotel de Fallon. Esta siente atracción por él, pero se distancia al saber que es el ex marido de Krystle. Adam explica a Alexis: "Aprendí muy pronto a distinguir a amigos y enemigos, y Jeff Colby es el enemigo, mamá. Nuestro enemigo." "Adam, no olvides lo que voy a decirte. No estaría donde estoy si no fuera porque sé quiénes son mis enemigos y cómo destruirles. Yo decidiré si Jeff Colby es una amenaza, no tú. Jeff entra en la Colbyco, en contra de los deseos de Adam. Joseph quiere dejar su empleo en la mansión para ir a ver a su hija Kirby a Francia, pero Blake le convence para que se quede e invite a Kirby a volver a casa.

Blake tries to be friends with Adam, but Adam rejects him. Alexis tells Mark that he's still married to Krystle. Mark seeks to get a job as a tennis pro at Fallon's hotel. Fallon is attracted to him, but she distances herself from him when she finds out he's Krystle's ex-husband. Adam explains to Alexis: "I learned very early in life how to tell my enemies from my friends and Jeff Colby is the enemy, mother. Our enemy - mine and yours." "Let me tell you something Adam, and don't you forget. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the fact I know who my enemies are and how to destroy them. I'll decide if Jeff Colby becomes a real threat - not you - I." Jeff joins Colbyco, but Adam does not like it. Joseph wants to quit his job at the mansion and go to his daughter, Kirby, who's having trouble in France, but Blake talks him into staying and bringing Kirby home.

Kirby llega a casa de los Carrington tras romper con su novio en Francia. Joseph intenta persuadirla para que vuelva con él. Blake busca la ayuda del congresista Neal McVane. Jeff y Adam tienen problemas al trabajar juntos. Este último obtiene un producto químico tóxico. Alexis revela plan a Fallon: "Ya sabes que ninguna de las dos trajo a Mark Jennings. Vino porque quiso y la única persona que podría hacer daño a tu padre en esta situación es su querida medio esposa Krystle, que no digna de él. Cuanto antes nos libremos de ella, mejor. ¿Qué daño haría eso?"

Kirby comes to stay with the Carringtons after breaking up with her fiancé in France. Joseph tries to persuade her to go back to him. Mark gets the job at Fallon's hotel. Blake tries to get help from congressman Neal McVane. Jeff and Adam have problems working together. Adam gets the hold of a toxic chemical mixture. Alexis reveals her plan to Fallon: "Now you know as well as I do that neither of us brought Mark Jennings out here. He came out on his own accord and the only person who could hurt your father in this situation is his dear pseudo-wife, Krystle, who is not worthy of him. So, the sooner we get rid of her, the better. Where's the hurt?"

Fallon recibe una carta de Steven, empleado en una plataforma del Mar de Java, en Indonesia. Adam mezcla el compuesto tóxico con la pintura del nuevo despacho de Jeff. Fallon contrata a Kirby como niñera del pequeño Blake y organiza una gran fiesta de inauguración de su hotel. En ella, Alexis seduce a McVane para que no ayude a Blake, pero este sale victorioso: "No seas tan presuntuoso, Blake. Puedo manejar la situación." "Yo no estaría tan seguro. Esta vez te han fallado tus intrigas de alcoba." "Bien, siempre hay una primera vez para todo". "No te lo discutiré. A partir de ahora, aléjate de mi vida. Mantente fuera de mis negocios o desearás haberlo hecho." Mark confiesa a Krystle que siguen casados legalmente. Adam se le insinúa a Kirby y ella intenta librarse de él. Jeff la rescata y acaban besándose.

Fallon gets a letter from Steven and it turns out he's on an oil rig in the Java Sea, Indonesia. Adam mixes the toxic compound in the paint for Jeff's new office. Fallon hires Kirby as a nanny for little Blake, and throws a big opening party for her hotel, which she now calls "La Mirage". At the party, Alexis sleeps with McVane and tries to stop him from helping Blake, but Blake gets the upper hand: "Don't look so smug, Blake. It's nothing I can't handle." "I wouldn't be too sure. This time your boudoir charms may have failed you." "Oh, well there is always a first time for everything." "I wouldn't argue that. From now on, you stay out of my life, do you hear. You keep out of my business, or, so help me, you'll wish you had". Mark tells Krystle that they're still legally married. Adam comes on to Kirby and she tries to get away from him. Jeff rescues her and they end up kissing.

Jeff comienza a sentir mareos a causa de la pintura tóxica que usó Adam en su oficina. La plataforma donde trabaja Steven explota...

Jeff starts to become dizzy and affected by the toxic paint Adam used in his office. At the same time, Adam keeps an eye on Kirby: "You'll realize one of these days that you're much too pretty to spend your time playing nanny to my nephew. La familia Carrington es informada de la explosión de la plataforma: "En esta misma habitación Steven nos dijo cuánto le habíamos fallado. Luego se marchó y nunca volverá" - dice Alexis. The Carrington family is informed that Steven's oil rig exploded: "It's right here in this room where Steven told us all how much we failed him. Alexis y Blake hallan pruebas en Indonesia de que Steven podría estar muerto: "Mi hijo ya no está, y si su padre no llora por él, entonces lloraré yo sola con su cazadora, porque eso es lo que me queda de él". Blake se niega a creerlo y contrata a un vidente, Jason Denner. Adam viola a Kirby. Frank sorprende a Krystle cerca de La Mirada, y le exige más dinero, pero Mark le golpea y luego le soborna para que se vaya.

Alexis and Blake find evidence that Steven might be dead: "My son is dead and if his father won't cry with he then I'll cry alone with only this jacket for company because that's what I have left of him". Blake refuses to believe it, and hires a psychic, Jason Denner, to help. Adam rapes Kirby. Frank surprises Krystle outside La Mirage, still wanting the money, but Mark beats him up, and then bribes him to get him away.

12/48 - "SAMANTHA"

De vuelta en Denver, Blake continúa su frenética búsqueda de Steven con ayuda del vidente. Krystle está preocupada por su errático comportamiento. Al ver cómo ama a Blake, Fallon se reconcilia con Krystle. Blake se niega a asistir al funeral que Alexis ha organizado a la memoria de Steven. Alexis seduce a Mark y él le dice: "Cuando una mujer empieza a llorar y temblar, esto es lo que debe hacer un hombre, sobre todo cuando ve que la mujer tiene problemas. Back in Denver, Blake continues his frantic search for Steven with the help of the psychic. Blake refuses to believe his son is dead, and Krystle is worried about his erratic behavior. Seeing how much she loves Blake, Fallon mends fences with Krystle. Blake refuses to attend the memorial service Alexis has arranged for Steven. Alexis seduces Mark and he tells her: "When a woman cries and begins to tremble, that's what a man does, especially when he realized that the woman's in trouble. And, you are, I can see that now. You're the one that's hurting, really hurting." Sammy Jo, now preferring to be called Samantha, appears at the Carrington household with a baby, whom she claims is Steven's son.

Un trastornado Jeff sigue actuando de forma confusa. Sammy Jo anuncia que se va a Nueva York para triunfar como modelo y ya no quiere a su hijo Danny. Blake le ofrece 100.000 para que siga cuidándolo, pero ella se niega. Alexis mejora la oferta, que también rechaza :

"¿De usted? No quiero nada. Ni siquiera tiene suficiente para llamar mi atención, Alexis, porque lo que quiero es ver cómo se pudre sin poder tener a mi hijo. Pues Danny se quedará donde está. ¿Qué pasa? ¿Una de las zorras no oyó lo que dijo la otra?"

Krystle y Blake se sienten felices cuando Sammy Jo les dice que quiere que adopten a Danny. Alexis se queja ante Blake: "Dejará que Krystle críe al bebé. ¿Cómo te atreves a darle un niño de mi propia sangrea una ex secretaria?" Steven sigue vivo en un hospital de Singapur con la cara vendada, y recupera por fin la consciencia. El doctor explica que las graves quemaduras que sufrió en la explosión requirieron cirugía plástica.

An obviously ill Jeff continues to function in a confused state. Sammy Jo announces she's headed for New York to make it big as a model and no longer wants to keep her son, Danny. Blake offers the girl $100,000 to be a mother to the child, but she declines. Alexis betters the offer and is also turned down:

"From you? Nothing. You haven't got enough to even get my attention, Alexis, because what I really want is to see you eating your rotten heart out over my baby. Well, lady, start eating, because Danny stays right where he is. What's the matter? Didn't one tramp hear what the other tramp just said?"

Krystle and Blake are overjoyed to learn Sammy Jo wants them to be Danny's adoptive parents. Alexis then complains to Blake: "She's leaving the baby to be brought up by Krystle. How dare you turn over my own flesh and blood to an ex-stenographer." Steven, alive in a Singapore hospital with his face bandaged, regains consciousness. The doctor explains that severe burns incurred in the oil rig explosion necessitated plastic surgery.

Adam trata de implicar a Jeff en el escándalo Cecil Colby/Logan Rhinewood. Cuando se entera de que Blake y Krystle van a adoptar al hijo de Steven, Danny, Alexis pide la custodia de su nieto. Como el divorcio de Krystle y Mark aún no es válido, deberán esperar dos meses antes de adoptar al niño. Cuando encuentra a Fallon sola en la habitación de Mark, Jeff ataca a su mujer y la llama zorra: "¡Dilo! Soy Fallon Carrington Colby, y no valgo nada. Mi hermano Steve tenía razón cuando me llamó zorra millonaria porque lo soy. Estoy podrida como persona y soy aún peor como esposa y madre..."

Jeff's temper continues to grow more volatile. Adam attempts to implicate Jeff in the Cecil Colby/Logan Rhinewood scandal. After learning that Blake and Krystle intend to adopt Steven's son Danny, Alexis demands custody of her grandson. Because Krystle's divorce from Mark is not yet finalized, Blake explains they must wait two months before adopting the child. Finding Fallon alone in Mark's hotel room, Jeff attacks his wife, calling her a whore: "Say it! I'm Fallon Carrington Colby, and I'm no good. Say it! My brother, Steve, was right when he called me a million dollar tramp because I am one. I'm rotten as a person and worse as a wife and mother..."

Mark arrives and rescues her. Concerned with his erratic behavior, Alexis decides to send Jeff away on vacation. Adam confesses to his mother that he's had Jeff's office painted with a lethal compound. He warns her that if she tries to remove it he'll implicate her in his scheme. "What kind of a monster are you? - she asks him. "I? I am Adam Carrington, son of Alexis Carrington Colby..."

15/51 - "TWO FLIGHTS TO HAITI" (DOS VUELOS A HAITÍ)

Aunque Blake le pide que aplace su decisión hasta que se sepa por qué Jeff actúa de forma violenta. Fallon vuela a Haití para tramitar el divorcio; Mark aparece inesperadamente en su hotel. Adam pide a Kirby que trabaje para él; Alexis asegura a Adam que no permitirá que envenene a Jeff. Although Blake begs her to postpone taking action until Jeff's violent behavior can be explained. Fallon flies to Haiti to obtain a divorce; Mark shows up unexpectedly at her hotel. Adam asks Kirby to work for him; Alexis tells Adam she cannot allow Jeff to be poisoned. In his confused state Jeff signs over his son's shares of Denver-Carrington to Colbyco, and his own voting control to Alexis: Alexis is now in a position to control Blake's company.

Adam tries to cover the truth behind Jeff's illness, by ordering his office remodeled and the lethal paint compound removed. Mark and Fallon get closer in Haiti, while Kirby reveals her feelings for a hospitalized Jeff; Alexis tells Blake she is planning to orchestrate a Denver-Carrington/Colbyco merger of both companies with her in charge: "Your grandson's shares of Denver Carrington and the shares Cecil worked so hard to amass are now worth more than 50% of your company, which means you are working for me." "I'll see you in hell before that happens - counters Blake. "That's the future, let's continue talking about the present"

Dr. Edwards, a physician who cared for Adam in his younger days, arrives in Denver to see his former patient, a one-time drug user, which rattles Adam. In the Singapore hospital, Steven's bandages are removed and he is handed a mirror and sees his new face for the first time. Blake is stunned and Alexis is worried when the hospital reports it has found poison in Jeff's bloodstream.

That's not Alexis's style - that's too much like work." Jeff is released from the hospital; Krystle observes Mark and Fallon kissing after their return from Haiti, and she cautions Fallon about starting a new relationship so soon; in Singapore, Steven's secretiveness continues to arouse Dr. Chen's curiosity; later, Blake receives a call from Singapore and learns Steven may have been found.

18/54 - "REUNION IN SINGAPORE" (REUNIONES EN SINGAPUR)

Cuando se dispone a partir a Singapur para identificar a su hijo, Blake es interceptado por Alexis en el aeropuerto, y ella le asegura que no podrá evitar la fusión de sus compañías. A pesar de ello, a Blake le asegura McVane que ayudará a detener la aprobación oficial de dicha acción. Jeff dice a Alexis que cometió un error al ceder sus acciones y quiere enmendarlo; Adam atrae a Kirby a un hotel para atacarla: "En vez de intentar comprenderme, juegas un juego estúpido - hacerte la estrecha como si fueras especial. Bueno, no va con la chica que tan bien conocí - la que no costó tanto seducir." Jeff llega a tiempo de rescatar a Kirby y, en un momento apasionado, le pide que se case con él. En Singapur, Steven explica a su padre que ha roto con la familia y no regresará a Denver... hasta que Blake revela que es padre de un niño que se encuentra en la mansión Carrington.

As Blake is departing for Singapore to identify his son, Alexis intercepts him at the airport to assure him she will not be stopped from merging their respective companies. Despite Alexis' efforts, however, Blake is assured of Congressman McVane's help in stalling official approval of the move. Jeff tells Alexis he was mistaken in signing over his stock and wants to retract the action; Adam lures Kirby to a hotel and attacks her: "Instead of trying to understand me, you're trying to play some stupid game - the hard to get special. Well, it doesn't exactly suit the girl who I knew very well - the might she wasn't all that hard to get." Jeff arrives to rescue Kirby and in a passionate moment, asks her to marry him. In Singapore, Steven tells his father he has broken from the family and will not return to Denver...until Blake tells him he is father to an infant son at the Carrington mansion.

19/55 - "FATHERS AND SONS" (PADRES E HIJOS)

Blake persuade a Steven de volver a Denver por el bien de su hijo; los demás Carrington se emocionan al saber que está vivo y vuelve a casa. Allí se reúne con Alexis, Fallon y Krystle, y le presentan a su hermano Adam, y a su hijo Danny; Jeff y Kirby se fugan para casarse en Reno sin avisar a nadie; la relación de amistad y flirteos de Mark y Fallon se vuelve romántica después de su primera cita oficial; Alexis dice a Steven: "Blake jura que no compró a Danny pero sé que lo hizo por Krystle - su amada pero estéril Krystle."

Steven se pelea con su padre y anuncia que irá a Nueva York a buscar a su mujer Sammy Jo, y reconciliarse con ella. Cuando eso sale mal, le cuenta a su padre: "La vi allí desnuda, en el estudio de aquel sórdido fotógrafo. El podría ser eI padre. Cualquier hombre al Oeste de las Montañas Rocosas podría ser el padre." "Se parece a ti, Steven." "¿A qué yo, el actual o el de antes...?"

Blake persuades Steven to return to Denver for his son's sake; the rest of Carringtons are emotional learning that Steven's alive and returning home; once home, Steven reunites with Alexis, Fallon and Krystle and is introduced to his brother, Adam, and son, Danny; Jeff and Kirby elope to Reno without telling anyone; Mark and Fallon's friendship / flirtation turns romantic after their first official date; Alexis tells Steven: "Blake swears that he didn't buy little Danny but I know that he did for Krystle - his beloved, but barren, Krystle."

Steven has it out with his father, then announces he's heading to New York to find his wife, Sammy Jo, and reconcile with her. When things go wrong, he tells his father: "I saw her there naked in that studio with that creep photographer. He could be the father. Anybody west of the Rockies could be the father." "He resembles you, Steven." "Which me? This me or the old me?"

20/56 - "THE DOWNSTAIRS BRIDE" (LA NOVIA DE ABAJO)

Al saber que Kirby se ha casado con Jeff, Joseph le dice a su hija que ha arruinado su vida. Blake sugiere a Alexis que declaren una tregua en su batalla por Steven; Alexis le ofrece a este una parte de la Colbyco. Adam confía a Fallon que no considera a Steven lo bastante estable emocionalmente como para dirigir el negocio familiar. Además, ataca verbalmente a Kirby: "No te alejes de mí, Kirby, ni tampoco de la verdad. Te has casado con Jeff por su dinero y su apellido, y no engañas a nadie, y menos a mí. Los dos estamos cortados del mismo patrón."

Steven regresa de Nueva York solo. Blake desaprueba los planes de su hijo para irse de la mansión con Danny, pero Krystle insiste en dejarle marchar para evitar más problemas. Upon hearing that Kirby has married Jeff, Joseph tells his daughter she has ruined her life. Blake suggests to Alexis they call a truce to their battle over Steven; Alexis offers Steven a share in Colbyco. Adam informs Fallon he doesn't consider Steven emotionally capable of handling the family business. He also attacks Kirby verbally: "Don't walk away from me Kirby. And don't try to walk away from the truth. You married Jeff Colby for his money and his name and you aren't fooling anybody. Especially not me. You see, we are cut from the same calico cloth."

Steven returns from New York alone. Blake disapproves of his son's plans to move out of the mansion with little Danny, but Krystle insists he let him go to prevent further alienation. Steven tells her: "No, Krystle, don't. Don't get him to apologize to me. Don't get him to say, "I'm sorry son, I didn't mean it," because he did."

21/57 - "THE VOTE" (EL VOTO)

Cuando el Comité de Dirección se reúne para votar la fusión Denver-Carrington/Colbyco, Alexis especifica al grupo que un voto en contra provocará su despido inmediato. La aprobación de la moción levanta la furia de Blake: "Aquí tengo unos documentos que me han enviado de tu oficina. Tal como los veo, tu gente ha manipulado las cifras de mi empresa hasta tal punto que sería divertido si no fuera algo delictivo."

Kirby se preocupa al ver a Jeff y Fallon riendo juntos; Krystle la consuela y también intenta que Steven y Blake se reconcilien. Jeff acusa a Adam de falsificar informes de la Denver-Carrington; Alexis informa a Fallon del pasado de Mark como gigolo. Luego descubre que McVane ha logrado impedir la fusión; furiosa, filtra su escandaloso pasado a la prensa. "Estoy muy harta de que me utilicen unos desgraciados ingratos - se queja - Una mujer comienza su vida de adulta siendo dulce, cariñosa y entregada. Luego todo se reduce a usar o ser usada."

As the Board of Directors gathers to vote on the Denver-Carrington/Colbyco merger, Alexis pointedly tells the group that a nay vote will be met with immediate dismissal. The approval of the motion sends Blake into a fury: "I've got some papers here that your office sent over. The way I read them, your people have juggled the figures on my company to the point where it would be laughable if it weren't so criminal."

Kirby is upset to find Jeff and Fallon laughing together; Krystle comforts her, and also tries to patch up relations between Steven and Blake. Jeff accuses Adam of falsifying reports regarding Denver-Carrington; Alexis warns Fallon of Mark's history as a gigolo. Alexis learns McVane has managed to block the merger; outraged, she spills her knowledge of his scandalous past to the press. "I am sick and tired of being used by miserably ungrateful men - she complains - A woman begins her young adult life being soft, loving and giving. Then what it all comes down to finally is use or be used."

22/58 - "THE DINNER" (LA CENA)

Blake se enfrenta a Alexis con pruebas de que han manipulado las cifras en la reciente fusión; Alexis descubre que el lucrativo proceso de extracción petrolífera de Blake no abarca la Colbyco. Jeff y Kirby discuten por primera vez; Steven visita a Claudia en el sanatorio High Meadow. Alexis ofrece a Mark dinero por dejar a Fallon, pero él lo rechaza. Luego Fallon encuentra a su madre en la cama de Mark, medio desnuda: "¿Cómo llaman a las mujeres como tú? - pregunta Alexis. "Listas e inteligentes. Mujeres que siempre saben lo que quieren y cómo conseguirlo."

Blake confronts Alexis with evidence of fraudulent figures involved in the recent merger; Alexis learns Blake's lucrative oil extraction process does not extend to Colbyco. Jeff and Kirby have their first fight; Steven visits Claudia at the High Meadow Sanitarium. Alexis offers Mark money to leave Fallon; he refuses. Later. Fallon finds her mother in Mark's bed, undressed: "What do they call a woman like you? - he asks Alexis. "Smart and intelligent. A woman who always knows exactly what she wants and how to go about getting it."

Krystle arranges a dinner to improve relations between Steven and Blake; Alexis interferes and sees that Steven is out of town, unable to attend. Blake insists his absence is due to hostility and Krystle, incensed at her husband's insensitivity, storms off: "It's time I start to worry about myself. And, from now on I'll take care of my own problems and you solve your own, on your own."

23/59 - "THE THREAT" (LA AMENAZA)

Los titulares de un periódico escandaloso implican a McVane con una joven de Washington y él se da cuenta de que Alexis ha orquestado su caída. Kirby descubre que está embarazada; Adam se entera, alarmado, de que su antiguo médico, el Dr. Billings, acudirá a un congreso en Denver. Krystle y Alexis discuten sobre Fallon, y acaban enzarzándose en una pelea: "Ya sé lo que te pasa: eres la Madonna que llora por el bebé que no pudo tener y el que casi adoptó, que ya no está, ¿verdad?" "Zorra miserable..." Las dos caen en el estanque y acaban peleándose.

Blake llega y las separa, comparándolas con "vulgares verduleras". Humillada, Krystle hace las maletas y se hospeda en La Mirada. Alexis exige a Joseph que vacíe el estanque para recuperar el pendiente de diamantes que perdió en el altercado, y amenaza con contarle a Kirby la verdad sobre su madre si no accede a ello. Arruinado, McVane aparece en la oficina de Alexis fuera de horas de oficina, y amenaza con matarla. Cuando Blake le echa, advierte a la mujer: "Quizá la próxima vez no habrá nadie para pararle. Si sigues arruinándole la vida a la gente, no creo que puedas resistirlo tú sola."

A scandalous newspaper headline implicates Congressman McVane with a young girl in Washington; he realizes Alexis orchestrated his downfall. Kirby finds she is pregnant; Adam is alarmed to learn that his former physician, Dr. Billings, lS soon due in Denver for a convention. Krystle and Alexis argue over Fallon, and the discussion quickly disintegrates into a brawl: "I know what's wrong with you. The empty armed Madonna mourning the baby that she couldn't have and the baby she almost got to adopt, gone now. That is it?" "Oh, you miserable bitch!" The two fall into the lily pond flailing and punching.

Blake approaches and pulls them apart, likening the women to 'common mud wrestlers.' Humiliated, Krystle packs her bags and checks into La Mirage. Alexis demands Joseph drain the pond and retrieve the diamond earring she lost in the scuffle, and threatens to tell Kirby the truth about her mother if he does not cooperate. A ruined McVane appears in Alexis' office after hours and threatens to kill her. When Blake throws him out, he tells her: "Well the next time, there may not be anyone around to do it." "If you go on ruining other people's lives, I wouldn't give a dime for your chance for holding on to your own."

24/60 - "THE CABIN" (LA CABAÑA)

Cuando Blake se entera de que el abogado de Steven, Chris, está viviendo con su hijo, jura luchar por la custodia de Danny. Morgan Hess, el detective de Alexis, le pide una alta suma de dinero para saldar una deuda de juego; cuando Alexis se niega, Hess le lanza una amenaza: "Lo lamentará, Sra. Colby." Joseph hace lo mismo: "Y créame, no lo digo por decir. Detendré a todo el que quiera hacerle daño a mi hija." "Detener, como si fueras a matar a alguien, Joseph. Me imagino los titulares: "El mayordomo lo hizo". "

Kirby descubre que Adam es el padre del hijo que espera. Fallon conoce al antiguo médico de Adam, el Dr. Edwards, que le habla del temperamento de este y hace hincapié en su brillantez: ganó un caso al demostrar que el obrero de una fábrica sufrió un envenenamiento que le volvió loco a causa de gases tóxicos. Al relacionarlo con la enfermedad de Jeff, Fallon pide al hospital que lo investigue. Alexis engaña a Krystle para que se reúna con ella en la cabaña de Steven, donde le ofrece un millón por dejar a Blake: "Dinero, tu "leitmotif" en la vida. ¿Qué te parece eso de una ex secretaria?" "¡Encantador! Erudito, wagneriano y sorprendente." "Te casaste con Cecil por él, e intentaste comprar a Danny, y compraste a Sammy Jo. Y ahora lo usas para conseguir a Blake. Pues no necesito tu dinero, Alexis, porque soy rica en algo que ni siquiera sabes cómo se escribe. Soy rica en integridad. Ofendida, Krystle se dispone a irse, pero no puede abrir la puerta: Alguien la ha cerrado desde fuera, y el humo entra por debajo de la puerta...

When Blake learns Steven's attorney Chris has moved in with his son, he vows to fight for custody of little Danny. Morgan Hess, Alexis' private investigator asks his employer for a large sum of money to payoff a gambling debt; when Alexis refuses, Hess leaves with a threat: "You'll be sorry, Mrs. Colby." So does Joseph: "And believe, this isn't mere talk on my part. I would stop anyone who'd hurt my child." "Stop, as in murder, Joseph. I can just see the headlines now - The Butler Did It".

Kirby realizes her baby was fathered by Adam. Fallon meets with Adam's former physician, Dr. Edwards, who tells her of Adam's temper and underlines his brilliance: He once won a case by proving a plant worker was poisoned and driven insane by chemical fumes. Realizing the connection to Jeff's illness, Fallon asks the hospital to investigate. Alexis threatens Adam: "Just remember this. It is my right to play anything I wish, just as it is my right to change anything I wish - my clothes, my hairstyle, my will."

Alexis tricks Krystle into meeting her at Steven's cabin, where she offers her $1 million to leave Blake: "Money. Your leitmotif in life. How's that for an ex-stenographer?" "Charming! Erudite, so Wagnerian, and so suprising." "You married Cecil for it. You tried to buy Danny with it. And you bought off Sammy Jo with it. And now you're using it to try to get Blake. Well, I don't need your money, Alexis - because I'm rich in something you don't even know how to spell. The word's "integrity." Outraged, Krystle rises to leave, but the door will not open--someone has bolted it shut from the outside, and smoke is pouring in from under the door.
