140 - masquerade

March 5, 1986: Alexis Colby held a masquerade ball at the Carrington manor, with a surprise revelation at the end: Blake´s brother Ben Carrington (played by late Christopher Cazenove) had been invited by Alexis, who had even travelled to Australia in order to use him as a weapon against Blake. Also in this episode, which probably spent more money on the costumes than any other entry of that season, Alexis discovered that her (not too) dear sister Caress (Kate O´Mara) was writing a tell-all book about her past that might cause too much trouble; Dominique denied to her former lover Garret Boydston (Ken Howard) that her teenage daughter Jackie (Troy Beyer) might be his too (but we knew she´s lying...), Adam and Steven got entangled in a fight because the Adam "outted" Bart Fallmont (Kevin Conroy) and Clay (Ted McGinley, who was starring in "The Love Boat" at the same time) kept up his interest about Amanda. Not bad for the "Dynasty" standards, of course.

Julio de 1986: Alexis Colby organizaba un baile de disfraces en la mansión Carrington, con una revelación-sorpresa final: el hermano de Blake, Ben Carrington (interpretado por el difunto Christopher Cazenove) había sido invitado por Alexis, que había viajado hasta Australia para poder utilizarlo en contra de Blake. También en este episodio, que seguramente gastó más en vestuario que ningún otro de esa temporada, Alexis descubría que su (no muy) querida hermana Caress (Kate O´Mara) estaba escribiendo unas memorias que revelarían cosas de su pasado que podrían causarle muchos problemas; Dominique negaba a su ex amante Garret Boydston (Ken Howard) que su hija adolescente Jackie (Troy Beyer) fuera también de él (pero sabíamos que ella mentía...), Adam y Steven se liaban a puñetazos porque el primero había "sacado del armario" a Bart Fallmont (Kevin Conroy) y Clay (Ted McGinley, que al mismo tiempo protagonizaba "Vacaciones en el mar") seguía interesado en Amanda. No estuvo mal para ser "Dinastía", claro...
