1 - "OIL" ("PETRÓLEO") (I)

El millonario magnate del petróleo Blake Carrington y su antigua secretaria, Krystle Grant Jennings, van a contraer matrimonio. El ex-amante de Krystle, Matthew Blaisdel, ha estado trabajando durante año y medio como geólogo en uno de los pozos petrolíferos del Oriente Medio de Blake. Un día es expulsado de allí y regresa a Denver. Se encuentra con Krystle accidentalmente y ambos piensan que aún podría quedar algo de su relación. Krystle se replantea su boda y discute por ello con Blake. Los hijos de éste, Steven Daniel Carrington y Fallon Carrington, regresan a Denver después de pasar una temporada alejados:

“Me vendería a un harén de un jeque por tres barriles de crudo y una caja de cigarros. Creo que ha sufrido un daño irreparable por respirar perfume barato.” "¿No crees que eres un poco dura con Krystle?" – alega Steven. "Quiero decir, que tiene buenas cualidades.” “También un "cocker spaniel" - responde ella, "pero no querría que mi padre se casara con uno.” Blake no se lleva bien con Steven, a causa de su homosexualidad, que Blake no está dispuesto a aceptar.

Wealthy oil tycoon Blake Carrington and his former secretary, Krystle Grant Jennings are getting married. Krystle's ex-boyfriend, Matthew Blaisdel, who's been working as a geologist on one of Blake's oil rigs in the Mideast for a year and a half, is thrown out from there, and comes back to Denver. He accidentally meets Krystle, and they both start thinking that there may be a spark left from their previous relationship, and Krystle starts getting second thoughts about the wedding. She has a little argument about this with Blake. Blake's children, Steven Daniel Carrington and Fallon Carrington, also returns to Denver after being away:

“He’d sell me into the harem of a sheikh for three barrels of crude and a box of cigars. I think he suffered irreparable brain damage from breathing too much dimestore perfume.” “Don’t you think that’s being a bit tough on Krystle – claims Steven. "I mean she’s got some nice qualities.” “So does a cocker spaniel - she answers, "but I wouldn’t want my father to marry one.” Blake is not getting good along with Steven, because Steven is homosexual and Blake won't accept this.

2 - "OIL" (II)

Matthew recibe la visita de un viejo amigo, Walter Lankershim, que viene a pedirle dinero porque tiene problemas. Le ha pedido dinero prestado a Blake para poner en marcha un pozo de petróleo pero no lo ha encontrado todavía. Matthew se niega a ello. Luego va a visitar a su esposa Claudia, que ha estado internada en una institución mental durante 18 meses, pero le dicen que ya está mucho mejor y ha sido dada de alta. Matthew, Claudia y su hija Lindsay deciden empezar de nuevo como una familia. Blake y Krystle discuten sobre sus desacuerdos y planean casarse a lo grande. Ocurre un accidente en el pozo de Walter y éste averigua que alguien lo ha soboteado. Está convencido de que Carrington ha tenido algo que ver con eso. Blake habla con su hijo sobre la homosexualidad.

Matthew gets a little visit from an old acquaintance, Walter Lankershim. Walter asks for money, because he's in trouble. He's lent money from Blake to drill for oil, but he haven't made any strikes. Matthew refuses to give him any money. Matthew goes to visit his present wife, Claudia, who's been in a mental institution for 18 months, but he learns that she's much better, and she's been released. Matthew, Claudia and their daughter, Lindsay, decides to start over again as a family. Blake and Krystle get to talk about their disagreements, and starts planning a big wedding. There's an accident on Walter's oil rig and he finds out that somebody has been sabotaging. He's convinced that Carrington has something to do with this. Blake talks a bit with his son about the homosexuality.

3 - "OIL" (III)

Blake y Krystle se casan por fin. Se celebra el gran banquete en la mansión, y entre los invitados se hallan Cecil Colby y su sobrino Jeffrey Broderick "Jeff" Colby. Cecil es, como Blake, petrolero, pero mucho más importante, y la empresa de Blake, la Denver-Carrington, es como una hormiga comparado con la ColbyCo Oil de Cecil. Walter irrumpe en la ceremonia, furioso por el sabotaje de su pozo, y se pelea con Blake por ello. Matthew defiende a Walter en la discusión, que acaba con Blake despidiendo a Matthew.

Blake and Krystle finally get married. There's a big wedding at the mansion, and among the guests are Cecil Colby and his nephew Jeffrey Broderick "Jeff" Colby. Cecil is a big oilman like Blake, but he's much bigger, and Blake's company, Denver-Carrington, is just a newsstand compared to Cecil's ColbyCo Oil. Walter blurs into the big wedding, furious about the sabotage on his rig. He and Blake fight about this, and Matthew takes Walter's side in the fight, which leads to Blake firing Matthew.

4 - "THE HONEYMOON" ("LA LUNA DE MIEL")

Blake y Krystle deben interrumpir su luna de miel a causa de problemas que surgen en la empresa. Walter resuelve una crisis que surge en su pozo y Matthew y Steven son contratados por él. A Blake no le gusta nada eso. Krystle tiene sus propios problemas en su nueva vida de mujer rica, con todos los sirvientes y con el dinero. Matthew y Claudia discuten muy a menudo y les cuesta empezar una nueva vida. Cecil y Fallon hacen sus propias negociaciones. Cecil ayudará a Blake a salir de su crisis si Fallon se casa con Jeff.

Blake and Krystle have to break off their honeymoon, because Blake's in a bit of a crisis at work, and he has to go home to do business. Walter gets in trouble with the workers on his rig, but he gets it all straightened out, and both Matthew and Steven get a job there. Blake doesn't like this. Krystle has problems getting along as a wealthy woman, with all the servants and the money. Matthew and Claudia fight alot, they both think it's difficult to start this new life. Cecil and Fallon have negotiations of their own. Cecil is going to help Blake out of his problems, if Fallon marries Jeff.

5 - "THE DINNER PARTY" ("LA CENA")

Blake se disculpa ante Walter y Matthew por la pelea que tuvo lugar en la boda y pide al segundo que vuelva a su antiguo empleo. También les invita a cenar en su mansión. Fallon asesora a Krystle para el evento:

"Los ricos somos diferentes, Krystle. No te equivoques con eso. Mira, los pobres se aprietan el cinturón en los tiempos difíciles, por eso son pobres. Los ricos saben que es el momento de gastar. El juego se llama "Millón de dólares tirado al mar"." Durante la cena, ocurren muchas cosas; Steven y Claudia se conocen y se caen muy bien, Matthew mantiene una larga charla con Krystle y le revela que aún está enamorado de ella, y Cecil y Fallon empiezan a concretar sus planes.

Blake apologizes to Walter and Matthew about their fight at the wedding and asks Matthew to come back to his old job. He also invites them to a dinner in his manor. Fallon advises Krystle for the event:

"The rich are different, Krystle. Don't make any mistake about that. See, the poor cut back in hard times, that's why they're poor. The rich know that's the time to spend. The game is called "Million-Dollar Spit in the Ocean"." During the dinner, many things happen; Steven and Claudia meet and get along really well, Matthew has a long talk with Krystle and tells her that he's still in love with her, and Cecil and Fallon start realizing their plans.

6 - "FALLON´S WEDDING" ("LA BODA DE FALLON")

Jeff y Fallon se casan. El chófer de Blake, Michael Culhane, que ha sido amante de Fallon, se pone celoso, porque ahora ella le rechaza. Blake le contrata para que espíe para la Denver-Carrington, empezando por flirtear con la secretaria de Cecil. Blake le advierte sobre lo que pasaría si descubriese que le ha traicionado. Steven recibe la visita de su amigo gay Ted Dinard, de Nueva York.

Michael still tries to win back Fallon and tells Blake about Cecil and Fallon's agreement:

"What makes you think I haven't been able to claw my own way back from setbacks before?" - Blake asks his daughter later. "I've gone to Congressmen and kings and dictators and mob bosses when I needed help. And, I got it." "Alright, I sold myself. But, let me tell you - Fallon continues - that I'm ready to let the brass ring go. I have since the first night I put it on." "You keep that on and you stay married to that young man - he demands. "You make that thing work." "Thing. That's exactly what it is - a thing."

Steven is taunted on the job for being gay. Lindsay has a boy over to study, he tries to put the moves on her and she gets upset and runs off. Blake wants to have a child with Krystle. Matthew invites Steven to a dinner party at his house. In the end Steven and Claudia secretly start kissing.

8 - "THE BORDELLO" ("EL BURDEL")

Walter lleva a Steven a un burdel para "hacerle un hombre". Steven decide volver a Nueva York pero Fallon le disuade:

"¿Quieres jugar al escondite, Stevie, o quieres hablar como los mayores?" "Vale, estoy enamorado de otro hombre, y tú estás casada con un hombre al que no amas. Dime algo, Fallon: ¿cuál de los dos es más inmoral?" "¿Ser gay también te hace ser clarividente?" - contesta ella con ironía. Algo va mal en el pozo de Matthew y Walter, y acusan a Steven de sabotaje. Aunque es inocente, pierde el empleo. Ahora el plan de Blake es arrebatarles el pozo cuando tengan problemas. A Krystle no le gustan los métodos que utiliza Blake en la empresa. Empeña un collar de esmeraldas y le hace un préstamo a Matthew para ayudarle. Consigue una copia falsa para que Blake no se dé cuenta de que ya no lo tiene. Finalmente, Matthew y Krystle se dan un beso, pero ella decide marcharse.

Walter takes Steven to a bordello to try to "straighten him out". Steven decides to go back to N.Y.C. but Fallon convinces him to stay:

"Do you want to play hide and seek, Stevie, or do you want to talk like big people?" "Okay, I'm in love with a man. And, you're married to a man you don't love. Now, you tell me something, Fallon - which one is worse, which one is more immoral?" "Does being gay also make you clairvoyant?" - she answers ironicly. Something goes wrong at Matthew and Walter's rig, Steven is blamed for sabotaging, and though he's innocent, he looses his job. Blake's plan now is to take Walter and Matthew's rig when they're in trouble. Krystle doesn't like Blake's methods in his work. She pawns an emerald necklace and loans Matthew the money to help him. She makes a false copy so Blake won't understand it's gone. In the end, Matthew and Krystle kiss, but Krystle breaks it off and leaves.

9 - "KRYSTLE´S LIE" ("LA MENTIRA DE KRYSTLE")

Matthew encuentra al verdadero saboteador del pozo. Steven rechaza volver a trabajar. Claudia descubre que Matthew mantuvo relaciones con Krystle. Lindsay está preocupada porque cree que sus padres tuvieron que casarse sólo porque su madre se quedó embarazada. El novio de Steven, Ted, intenta contactar con él, pero Fallon hace todo lo que puede para separarlos. Blake averigua que Krystle toma píldoras anticonceptivas y asume que no le interesa tener un hijo:

"Mi hijo está enamorado de otro hombre. Mi hija está enamorada del sexo, seguramente sigue acostándose con todos los jugadores de mi equipo de rugby...Y mi mujer...quién sabe lo que mi mujer hará a mis espaldas." Se emborracha y, enfurecido, viola a Krystle.

Matthew finds the guy who really sabotaged the rig. Steven is offered his job back, but turns it down. Claudia learns about Matthew's relationship with Krystle. Lindsay is upset, thinking that her parents HAD to get married just because of her when she was born. Steven's boyfriend Ted tries to contact him, but Fallon does everything she can to stop it and keep them apart. Blake finds out that Krystle is on birth control pills and assumes she's not interested in having a baby.

"My son is in love with another man. My daughter is in love with sex - probably still sleeping with every player on my football team. My wife...who knows what my wife is doing behind my back." He gets both mad and drunk and forces Krystle to a rough sexual intercourse.

10 - "THE NECKLACE" ("EL COLLAR")

Blake pide disculpas a Krystle por su comportamiento y ella lo perdona. Michael se ha enterado de que Krystle empeñó el collar y se lo cuenta a Fallon. Matthew y Walter por fin encuentran petróleo. Claudia sale con un hombre que conoce y está a punto de tener una aventura con él. Consigue echarse atrás, pero luego inicia una relación con Steven:

"Tienes una hermosa ternura, que trasciende el género..."

Blake apologizes to Krystle about his behavior, and she forgives him. Michael has found out about Krystle's pawning and tells it to Fallon. Matthew and Walter finally strike oil. Claudia goes out with a guy she meets and almost has an affair with him. She manages to pull out, but later she has an affair with Steven:

  "There's a beautiful gentleness about you - tenderness that transcends gender..."

11 - "THE BEATING" ("LA PALIZA")

Jeff regresa a casa después de un viaje al Oriente Medio, pero él y Fallon no dejan de discutir. Steven decide trabajar para Blake y se va a vivir a su propio apartamento. Blake descubre la aventura de Michael con Fallon y contrata a unos hombres para darle una paliza:

"¿Por qué no has hecho que me diesen a mí la paliza?" - le pregunta ella luego. "Seguramente debí hacerlo, pero sé que eso no te detendría." "No puedes ir por ahí dándole una paliza a todos los hombres de Colorado con los que me acuesto." "Ponme a prueba, Fallon. Ponme a prueba". Lindsay se entera de la infidelidad de su madre, que sigue viéndose con Steven.

Jeff comes home after being in the Middle East, but he and Fallon have lots of arguments. Steven decides to get some more education and to start working for Blake, and he moves to his own apartment. Blake finds out about Michael's relationship with Fallon and hires some people to beat him up:

"So why don't you have me beaten up?" - she asks him later. "I probably should have, but I know that won't stop you." "You just can't go around and beat up every man in Colorado I sleep with." "Try me, Fallon. Try me." Lindsay finds out everything about her mother's affair, which is still going on.

12 - "THE BIRTHDAY PARTY" ("LA FIESTA DE CUMPLEAÑOS")

Blake descubre que Krystle ha empeñado su collar. No habla con ella del tema, pero empieza a asustarla con sus insinuaciones. Jeff ya ha comprendido que su boda con Fallon sólo es parte de un trato, y hace todo lo que puede para poner a su mujer en ridículo, especialme.te durante una fiesta de cumpleaños que Blake celebra para Cecil. Jeff dice en voz alta lo que piensa de todos los presentes.

"¿No puedes hacer que pare?" - insta Blake a Fallon. "Tú lo elegiste para mí. Si no te gusta cómo se comporta, díselo. Mejor aún, haz que le den una paliza. Así es como manejas a los hombres que hay en mi vida." Ted sigue intentando volver a la vida de Steven.

Blake learns about Krystle's "pawning". He doesn't tell her, but he starts frightening her with hints. Jeff now knows that his marriage to Fallon is only a part of a deal, and he does everything to embarrass his wife. Especially during a birthday party Blake throws for Cecil, when he yells out to everybody what he thinks of them.

"Can't you do anything about that?" - he urges her. "You picked him out for me. If you don't like he way he behaves, you tell him. Better yet, have him beaten up. That's the way you seem to handle the men in my life." Ted still tries to get into Steven's life again.

13 - "THE SEPARATION" ("LA SEPARACIÓN")

 El mayordomo Joseph dice claramente a Krystle que ella no pertenece a la familia Carrington. La mujer averigua que fue Blake quien compró el collar para demostrarle que lo sabía:

"No puedo hablar con nadie, ni ver a nadie, y sólo salir cuando tú decidas mostrarme en días festivos y en San Valentín". Discuten sobre esto y Krystle decide que no puede vivir con Blake y lo abandona. Steven cuenta a Claudia que ha pasado la noche con Ted, pero ahora quiere dejarles a los dos. Steven y Ted se despiden con un abrazo y, en ese momento, Blake entra en la habitación. Se enfurece por lo que cree ver y ataca a Ted, que cae hacia atrás y muere.

The major domo, Joseph, tells Krystle that she doesn't belong in the Carrington family. Krystle understands that Blake is the one who bought the necklace, to show her that he had found out:

"Talk to no one, see no one and only come out when you choose to display me on bank holidays and St. Valentine's Day." They have a little argument about this, and Krystle decides that life with Blake is impossible and leaves him. Steven tells Claudia he spent the night with Ted, but now he wants to quit his relationship with both of them. Steven and Ted are just saying good-bye and hugging each other when Blake discovers it. He gets furious, because "the gay" is now standing there in his house with his arms on his son. He attacks Ted and there's a fight. Ted trips, hits his head, and dies.

14 - "BLAKE GOES TO JAIL" ("BLAKE VA A LA CÁRCEL")

Blake es detenido por el asesinato de Ted, y comienza el proceso contra él. El fiscal es Jake Dunham, un antiguo amigo de Claudia y Matthew que detesta a Blake. Krystle se entera del juicio y decide regresar con Blake para darle su apoyo, y solucionar sus problemas después. Una temerosa Fallon quiere ayudar a su padre y comete perjurio en el estrado. Sin embargo, Steven declara la verdad sobre lo que pasó, y añade:

"Mi hermana ha mentido".

Blake is arrested for the murder of Ted, and a big trial comes up. The prosecutor is Jake Dunham, an old friend of Claudia and Matthew, who does not like Blake. Krystle hears about the trial and decides to come back to Blake to be with him, and then solve their problems later. Fallon is afraid and to help her father, and she lies in court. Steven tells the truth about what really happened, though, and he adds:

"My sister lied!".

15 - "THE TESTIMONY" ("EL TESTIMONIO")

Prosigue el juicio contra Blake. Joseph, Claudia y Krystle son llamados a declarar. Cuando le llega el turno a Claudia, debe confesar que mantuvo una aventura con Steven, y entonces Matthew lo descubre. Provoca un altercado en el tribunal atacando a Blake y es encarcelado. Claudia recoge sus cosas, se escapa y se lleva consigo a una preocupada Lindsay. Durante su huida en coche, tienen un accidente que les causa heridas graves. En la escena final, Jake Dunham llama a un nuevo testigo, y hace su entrada una misteriosa mujer a la que Blake (y todos los demás) se sorprenden de volver a ver.

"Dios mío, es mi madre...", dice Fallon.

Blake's trial continues. Both Joseph, Claudia and Krystle have to testify. When Claudia testifies, she has to tell that she had an affair with Steven, and then Matthew finds out about it. He makes rebellion in the court room, attacks Blake and has to go to jail. Claudia packs her stuff, runs away, and takes an upset Lindsay with her. As they are driving away in their car, they collide and get serious injuries. In the final scene, Jake Dunham calls in a new witness, and in walks a mysterious woman that Blake (and everyone else) is stunned to see.

"My God, it´s my mother..." - says Fallon.
