THE LOVE BOAT CONNECTION

Based upon a novel by Jeraldine Saunders, this show produced by Aaron Spelling ran through ten seasons on the network ABC (which also aired "Dynasty"), from 1977 through 1987, with a total number of 245 one-hour episodes. Besides, he also produced two pilot-episodes previous to the show itself starring a different cast, and four longer telemovies.

Its simple plotting and its format of parallel stories gathered a high number of public in front of the screens, attracted not only by the guest stars, but also by the fact that, in every episode, the cruising ship "Pacific Princess" sailed away to idillic locations where all kind of love and humor stories happened. The only members of the main cast who stayed aboard until its very end were Gavin MacLeod (Captain Merrill Stubing), Bernie Kopell (Doctor Adam Bricker) and, lastly, Fred Grandy as the ship´s purser Burl Smith, alias "Gopher".

Set between two decades, "The Love Boat" welcomed in its ensemble cast to a huge number of actors from both the classic Hollywood and new talents launched by other TV series, not necessarily produced by Spelling. This page specifies where to find your favorite supersoap stars of the 80´s, including the number of episodes they were in, as well as their titles (all of them used to tell a minimum of three stories) and what their co-stars were in every episode. As usual, this would be the order: "Dallas", "Knots Landing", "Dynasty", and "Falcon Crest".
