ベニホシカメムシAntilochus coquebertiiが東南アジア地域における棉作害虫であるアカホシカメムシDysdercus cingulatusに対する捕食性天敵として利用できると考え、ベニホシカメムシの基本的な生態的特性を調べました。特に目新しい観点で研究をしたわけではありませんが、ベニホシカメムシを利用するために必要な基礎的なデータを得ることができたと思います。

2014年にインドの研究者が書いた下記の論文は、驚いたことに、私のこの論文と2004年に出版された別の論文の盗作でした。データそのものはオリジナルかも知れませんが、やっていることは私の2編の論文とほとんど同じです。自分の研究が別の研究者の盗作の対象になるということは、自分の研究が必要とされていた研究であったことを示すことでもありますので、悪い気持ちではありません。
