CLIII
Kundalini
1. What is the kundalini energy?
In the Etheric Body, there are many different organs. These each have intelligence and life. The kundalini is one of these organs. The structure is rope-like and resembles a flickering flame or a neon sign in its lively texture. The color is hot orange and red with gold striations. The kundalini is an organ of the base chakra and always bears its magnificent colors of ruby and courageous red.
kundalini actually is a multi-dimensional entity and functions in both the Etheric and Astral bodies. When it has completely uncoiled, it acts as a conduit between the chakras. This is required for the 3rd Degree of Initiation. This is a gradual climbing of assimilation between each chakra, as the disciple achieves balance and integration of the chakras.
2. Why is it described as feminine or Shakti?
In the Hindu religion, whence from we derive much of the kundalini lore, it is considered the actuator of wise and balanced thinking. From the womb comes forth life, and from the feminine principle comes forth a new existence, a new consciousness, a new expression of physical life.
Shakti is the Goddess aspect of the creative action, the path of emergence. Prakriti, or, Parvati is the energy or Etheric counterpart of the Astral God Shiva, or, purusha (pure spirit). So in this line of thinking, the Etheric path of kundalini is the physical actuator of what has already taken place on the Astral plane. It completes the destiny of the kundalini. When the living flame uncoils from its slumbers at the base chakra, the entire physical body awakens and transforms into a different hormonal balance.
3. What’s the image of a snake coiled 3 ½ times around the base chakra?
The actual length of kundalini remains constant throughout its entire life cycle, which lasts until the 3DI. It is anchored at the bottom of the back of the base chakra. It looks something like this when coiled/unawakened. It uncoils/awakens to its fully outstretched posture (through each of the major chakras). So you see that its actual length spans a little more than from the base to the crown chakra.
4. What is the kundalini syndrome?
Sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t. Simple hormonal imbalance can be misdiagnosed as kundalini Syndrome. The syndrome itself occurs when a disciple has been overly ambitious and focused too much attention on the kundalini. What we focus on is what expands, and thus the kundalini can potentially become prematurely stirred within the Etheric Body. Some create the disturbance through yoga exercises.
5. So you are saying that some cases of kundalini syndrome are false.
Yes. In some diagnoses, it is not kundalini, but an imbalance of chi or ka, or in Ayurvedic terms, too much Pitta in the dosha activity. This is caused by over consumption of protein and spice, too much stress, and not enough raw vegetables in the diet. The kundalini syndrome is also commonly mimicked in female hot flashes during menopause and pregnancy.
The way to sort out the true manifestation of kundalini syndrome is to check the size and spin of the chakras. One will notice that the chakras are not symmetrical, they are “wonky” or lopsided. The chakras at the solar plexus and below would be spinning too fast. The heart chakra would be bleeding somewhat and the throat chakra would have a hot or spiky appearance. The top three chakras would appear to be pulsating in an exaggerated manner—from small to bulbous.
5. How do you fix this?
The pride of the disciple is involved, so to gain acceptance in treatment is the most important step. Next, the disciple must be willing to desist from further aggravating the condition. All meditations on the kundalini must stop. The kundalini must be allowed to recoil itself into its normal state and rest.
A diet heavy in green and purple vegetables is helpful, especially clear soups made from greens. Solid food should be kept to a minimum and replaced with liquid or soupy foods. External and internal heat must be applied as well, to quell the body fires. This means drinking and eating mostly warm or hot temperature foods to lower the need for body fire. Also wearing extra clothing and sleeping with an electric pad, electric blanket, or extra bedding.
The chakras should be cleaned and rebalanced daily anyway, so this would not stop even after the kundalini syndrome has died away.
6. Is the kundalini related to sexual orgasm and the sexual drive?
No more so than any other issue regarding the base chakra and the sex chakra. Sexual stimulation certainly begins at the sacrum nerve plexus. However, the sexual desire and activity do not become more excited as the kundalini begins to unwind and assimilate the higher chakras.
Perhaps this issue is confused with the extremely common problem among those who have been sexually misused as children and then have later begun to reattach the lower three chakras to the heart chakra. When this occurs, the sexual libido is increased remarkably.
7. Does kundalini create premature aging as it rises?
No, in fact you will notice an agelessness in the practitioners who have allowed kundalini to rise according to its natural passages. Certain physical disciplines will create premature aging. Specifically, those that require long hours of meditation during normal sleep times. Also the lack of certain B vitamins in the diet give the appearance of aging before one’s allotted time. And yes, forcing the kundalini upward when it needs rest will sap the vital force from the body.
8. Is kundalini made up of a different kind of energy than the energy of chakras meridians, etc.? Is it universal energy?
At the Etheric level, kundalini is composed of prana (or chi) and a very mild type of plasma. This is why the disciple feels warmth as it rises. The Etheric chakras and meridians are made of prana only. Both prana and plasma are universal energies—they exist everywhere in the universe. Prana can be broadly considered as a form of plasma, but it has such a low frequency that it would barely register.
9. Is the double helix pattern of the caduceus related to the pattern of the K? What creates the shape?
Yes, the caduceus is patterned after the kundalini. The ancient Greeks knew about this, as did many ancient mystical religions. Because the plasma content of K runs and blends with prana, a dancing spiral pattern emerges. Compare the illustrations below on a Rod of Asclepius, a caduceus, and a plasma Bürkeland current. On the caduceus you can see a pretty clear interpretation of the pranic-silver-lunar Ida (right side), the plasmic-fire-solar Pingala (left side) and the Sushumna (center rod).
“Plasmas in relative motion are coupled via currents that they drive through each other.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birkeland_current
10. Does the K originate when we are virgin spirits and stay with us life after life, or is it new with every incarnation of the body?
The life cycle of a kundalini does begin at the virgin spirit stage. It sleeps in a precognitive state that gradually matures with the consciousness of the disciple. Because it is an organ of the base chakra, it remains in the familiar form we recognize while the disciple continues through the various incarnations.
The Etheric body is discarded after each incarnation, and so are all the parts of that energy body. The K is no exception, and is recycled with the rest of the Etheric body back to pranic essence.
The Astral counterpart remains whole, with the Astral Body, until the 3DI, when it undergoes transformation along with the AB. Thereafter, whenever a new AB is generated for incarnation, the Astral Kundalini is generated along with it. It remains in her attained posture of ascendency.
11. What is her purpose and role? Why is she there, what does she do?
The base chakra is responsible for anchoring the physical body to the higher bodies. The kundalini does this at another level, through the 1DI, 2DI, and 3DI.
In the beginning, when the consciousness is rooted in instinct, she sleeps. The disciple eventually masters the instincts. At this point, the K begins to ascend. One learns to give good care to the health systems. The K pierces the spleen chakra. The spiritual child grows to a certain age and becomes a chela, activating the joining of K and solar plexus chakra. Having passed through each of the lower chakras, the K continues upward.
When the K passes through the heart chakra, all memory becomes exhalted. Past life, current life, and short-term memory are all strengthened and continually clarified. As she moves to the throat chakra, the voice becomes a powerful instrument to move and to heal. At the third eye chakra, the appearance of things ceases to influence the disciple. The K takes her stretched out position to the root of the crown chakra, at the pineal gland. All the chakras become integrated and make a beautiful music. The Golden Flower is in a powerful mode.
Even after the 3DI, when the K has become fully extended and completes the integration of the chakras, this flame-like organ is a vital component of the Astral-Etheric connection. The yogis say that she is the accomplishment of enlightenment. The Hierarchy says that she is the first step of spiritual adulthood.
12. Is she anchored to earth energy?
No. She is merely part of the base chakra. Unless, of course, you wish to view our physical organisms as unified with the planetary organism, in which case, this could be considered to be true. She is not the same thing as the hara line, which is anchored to the earth and is actually an extension of the planet’s Etheric Body. The K would be more correctly considered as an integral energy component of the nervous system.
13. Does K have any function in the physical growth of children? Does she engage in the different developmental stages of growth physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually? Does it loosen up or do something when a person reaches the age of 49?
No. Rather, she flows upward according to the consciousness of the disciple, over hundreds of lifetimes. You could say that she is part of the process of spiritual maturity. She is neither the begetter nor the result. Before the 3DI, one would not be relying on the K for any type of functionality.
If a child needs help with physical growth issues, the pituitary and the solar plexus should be addressed. Seeds, nuts, and sprouted grains—any foods rich in RNA—should be brought into the diet. The K should not be messed at any rate.
In certain persons, the Saturn Return phase at age 49 might coincide with activity at the K. It is true that during certain passages in any life, the K makes some movement. This serves to open the nervous system to ideas that the Guardian Angel wishes to introduce, for the purpose of moving ahead in spiritual development.
14. Is she an aspect of the Divine spark placed at the bottom of the spine? What are her origins?
The Divine Spark is usually an epithet for the Monad, which is not near your coccyx. Somebody saw a well-developed kundalini and equated the condition with that person’s masterful consciousness. The clairvoyant who saw this wanted the same thing, and evolved a regiment of body disciplines for that purpose. Then, a cult arose from the misconception that the thing makes the consciousness. In observed cases where the student forces premature kundalini rising, no special enlightenments occur other than the normal lights. Certain types of personalities are more prone to spiritual ambition than other types. These tend to have self-esteem issues. Happiness, worldly success, personal power, and all the sciences does not come through K; they come together. Kundalini yoga does, however, have wonderful physical benefits for someone who needs body core strengthening and improved circulation. It doesn’t hurt to learn about K through the yogas, if you are curious.
15. Does she affect the Mental Body?
At the corresponding base chakra in the Mental Body, the K is doing its thing. As usual, the MB actuates the Astral Body, and the AB actuates the physical body. So, we see that the Etheric kundalini is a reflection of the Mental kundalini.
16. Does she expand in outer endeavors, such as creativity, relationships, health, business?
As she rises through the chakras, (see #11) there are definite changes in perception and expression. Now, these are not created by K, but the K’s piercing of the chakra region removes the final barriers of consciousness for the gifts that I listed before. The 3DI’s that I have met are certainly not perfect in many regards. They are, however, very good at manifesting for their missions and for maintaining their lives at a comfortable level. They are extremely magnetic and evoke loyalty, the desire to help, and great admiration.
17. Do certain activities effect her movement such as meditation, yoga, creativity, giving birth, accidents on the coccyx etc.?
The exercises in kundalini yoga have an effect on stirring the K. Obsessing about it will arouse it, too, as our thoughts expand their targets. If a disciple has passed certain levels of understanding, then the K will already be partially uncoiled, and then can become stimulated through traumas to the lower back. Creative pastimes stimulate the mental body and give the physical body an adrenal buzz , but this is different from K activity.

Now That I Can Spell Coccyx, Where Should I Put It?
The coccyx and sacrum house and maintain the quality of life for your body and your ability to manifest blessings. The base chakra and its frontal outlet, the sex chakra, encompass both bone structures and their nerve networks.
The base chakra (Muladhara) is larger and more complicated that most religions teach. It can be first perceived energetically at the perineum stem, but you also see that it has several other stems and branches, minor vortexes, and organs. Much hot discussion has taken place on the location of this chakra. Some religions teach that it flowers at the perineum stem, others that it emerges between L3/L4. However, if you run your thumb up and down your own lower back, you can feel the plexus for yourself, which is between L5/sacrum. Because of the curvature of the spine, the angles at L3/L4 appear to contact the skin at the sane spot as L5/sacrum.
Let’s discuss the vestigial tailbone. It is here that the base chakra has its energetic start, at the Etheric Sushumna. The coccyx holds casually within it tremendous strength and potential. The entire leg coordination system relies upon its muscular and nervous complex for easy motion and fine motor control. You cannot sit so thoughtlessly as you now do without it. Squatting exercises compound the energetic ability of this region in the base chakra. A person who is good at manifesting has a strong subconscious link to the coccyx area. You might say that it “hooks” your consciousness into the physical dimension.
The sacrum is very important for the vitality of the body. It doesn’t only mark the place of the base chakra flower. It also generates the impulses for the Triple Warmer (Dan Tien). The Dan Tien directly controls blood pressure, metabolism, and body temperature. This is also the junction where the hara line first joins together from the legs and ascends up the body as a unified channel. The strength of the heart muscle is directly connected to the flexibility and user motion of the sacrum. The gonads and their hormonal balance in the body are grounded here. The movements of belly dancing and salsa dancing enhance the sacrum’s power and motility. Your inner peace resides to some capacity here as well. How you control your sacrum—how you move it and how you keep it still—reflects in your contemplation and focus. The correctness of your foresight depends on your ability to quiet this part of your body and send your inquiry outward.
A Portal Opens
Although it is not advised to focus one’s intention on the kundalini itself, there is a beneficial method for cultivating success energy in the base chakra region. It begins with music and movement. It ends with images.
Some of these positions may be difficult to achieve at first, but will become easy with practice. Always breathe with the stomach expanding on inhale and relaxing at exhale.
Play some brass band music or drum corps music. Anything loud and rhythmic is great. Mantras to Ganesh are also fabulous for this. Sit at the edge of your chair. The soles of your feel are flat on the floor. If you are wearing high heels, remove the shoes.
1. Relax the Tail
-Bend over so that you can see your feet.
-Clasp your hands behind your back with your thumbs touching.
-Inhale slowly, as you firmly and slowly run your thumbs up from the tip of the tailbone through the lumbar.
-If there is pain in the lumbar, continue upward until you reach a place without pain.
-Do this 5 times.
2. Wag Like a Slo-Mo
-Remain seated in the same position. This must be done very carefully and languidly. [If your lumbar has been fused, this might still be possible, but only move so far as is comfortable and imagine the rest in your mind so that the nerves will continue to do the work.]
-Place the palms of your hands over your sacrum and tailbone with the fingers pointed downward. This is so that you may monitor the subtle movement of the bones in this area.
-Slowly move the tailbone down and inward. Imagine that you are forming the letter C with your lower back. Relax and breathe. Do this 5 times.
-Slowly move the tailbone up and outward so that your lower back is arched. Imagine that you have a duck’s tail there, and that you are gently raising it as far as you comfortably can. Relax and breathe. Do this 5 times.
-Slowly raise your right butt cheek so that you are only sitting on your left side. Relax and breathe. Do this 5 times. Then do it to the other side.
3. Upsy-Daisy-Doozy
-Sit back normally in your chair. Look upward.
-Stretch your right leg straight out. Place your left leg on top, so that the left heel is on top of the right big toe.
-Stretch out both arms at shoulder length. All fingers are pointing upward. Lock your ring fingers to your thumbs.
-Breathe slowly 5 times. Then repeat with the other leg on top.
4. 5 Lucky Pennies
-Stand up, feet parallel about 6 inches apart.
-Bend over and touch the floor with your hands. [If, for medical reasons, you are not advised to put your head down, then cross your arms at your chest and hold your head comfortably so that you face the floor.] Imagine that your tailbone is pointed to the ceiling.
-Slowly bend your knees as deeply as is comfortable and then straighten. Repeat 5 times.
5. Crouching Human, Hidden Sapiens
-Crouch comfortably on hands and feet.
-Slowly rise to a full standing position.
-Repeat 5 times.
6. Belly-Eights
-Stand comfortably, feet slightly apart, knees slightly bent.
-Rotate your right hip back, right, & forward.
-Rotate your left hip back, left, & forward.
-Repeat this 5 times. Do not move your upper torso. Allow your mouth to remain slightly open, as though you were about to kiss someone. The air moves naturally in and out of your lungs as you do the figure 8’s.
7. I Like Big Muladharas, and I Cannot Lie
-Sit quietly so that your body does not distract you.
-Imagine a huge red poppy blooming out of your back, just above your sacrum.
-The petals inflate like big, beautiful, red balloons. They are not full of air, but full of golden energy, very firm and powerful.
-Breathe deeply and slowly. As you breathe, the base chakra expands and stays large.
-Keep breathing and expanding until the chakra is as high as your shoulders and touches the ground.
-Picture what you want to manifest, put yourself in the picture. Send out the picture to the universe.
