The Spirit of Wisdom and Truth:
The Office of Enlightenment
Lecture based Questions:
1. Draw or describe one of your helpers.
Hey there! Howzabout remembering someone (physical or otherwise) who has helped you to see the importance of truth, or who has given you a new understanding of it?
2. What is truth?
Truth in one sense is a factual perception relative to the person who evaluates it according to his or her experience. In a greater sense, truth has many layers and realities. It is tied to many individuals and connected situations. A 5DI can fathom many of these layers, and it becomes more clear the higher up the spiritual path we stand.
3. How are we intertwined with the office of Truth and Wisdom?
Our spiritual development is dependent on how open we are to the influences of this living spirit and the people who serve it. We can invoke the Spirit of Truth to show us reality beyond our expectations and neuroses.
4. •How does Lord Maha Chohan involve himself in the world as we know it?
This great leader wears many hats and fills many offices. Among them are the executive positions for the Spirit of Truth and Wisdom, the Office of Destiny, Great Works of Humanity, and the Waves of Society.
•How do those who serve this office carry through the Chohan’s edicts?
It is very helpful to take a vow to serve and express the Truth. This does not mean using facts to hurt or harm people. This means to avoid white lies and worse in one’s verbal expression. It means integrity of action and behavior. It also means openness to receiving humble education from any source. When one is firm in the discipline of personal truth, one becomes an avatar for Spirit of Truth.
•Which angels serve this office?
The Chohi are the angelic order specifically ordained for service with the Lordly Maha Chohan. They work under the order of Destiny and have influence in humanity’s political, cultural, religious, and geographic directions.
5. Why do we feel free to be truthful to some people and not to others?
Trust is the element in a relationship that allows us to feel free in certain types of expressions. People with critical, manipulative, tyrannical, or dependent personalities often make others feel oppressed. When we cannot avoid interacting with such people, a good verbal armor to prepare one is, “Let me now express the Divine Idea in my mind, body, and affairs” (Florence Scovel Shinn).
6. How should truth be expressed?
When dealing with someone who tends to use information against you, avoid any interaction and never volunteer conversation or comment. This removes temptation to misstatement. When you are trying to save someone’s feelings, it is better to say truthful things that make you look bad rather than to blast your friend.
7. Meditation Exercise: Stopping the Madness
Once in a while, we become overwhelmed by the complications that we have piled high atop ourselves. We desire change but we cannot see through the mess to find the answer. Through the Mental Body, we can channel our thoughts into a state of consciousness that will allow us to circumvent the nature of our neuroses and arrive at a more objective, empowered point of view that can create the venue for the life we desire.
• The Heart Leads to Wisdom—Imagine a little door in your Heart Chakra. Open the door and look inside. A beautiful scene is on the other side of fresh air, glorious hills and mountains, magnificent trees and flowers, happy energetic birds, butterflies, little animals, and large wonderful magical unicorns, dragons, and fairies. A large golden butterfly flutters toward you. It lands on your heart and dissolves into it. You feel this new energy transforming you and giving you the tools for success. “Today I am more awake than ever before. I thank the Spirit of Truth and Wisdom for this gift of perception.”
• Buried Alive in Your Chair—Visualize and feel your emotional state. Look at the constraining forces working upon you, the compulsions to react to your environment as you perceive it. Acknowledge this sensation of restriction and external coercion. Now, understand that this is a puzzle to solve. As you clearly see the nature of the riddle, you will also see the way to unravel it. “I am the enigma, and my life reflects what I am. Let me now become an embodiment of Divine Clarity, Divine Harmony, and Divine Blessing.”
• Chamber of Peacefulness—The German word Ruhe [ROO-hay] expresses the meaning best. Create around you a large bubble that is charged with the feelings of relaxation, trust in Divine Order, enjoyment of the Now, and rejuvenation. “Ruhe, Ruhe, Ruhe. I am a quiet lake in the countryside at misty sunrise. As the life-giving sun ascends in the sky, I am blessed with warmth, beauty, friendship, and fruitfulness. Ruhe, Ruhe, Ruhe.”
• Elevator of Enlightenment—From a distance, see yourself sitting in your Chamber of Peacefulness, buried under the complications of your daily schedule. The chamber begins to rise up, displacing the effluvia of your clutter and leaving it below you. Up and up you ascend in your Chamber of Peacefulness through the muck. “Divine Order powers the machinery that raises me above my thoughts. I surrender my life to Infinite Divine Possibilities, and my locks, chains, and barricades fall away to where they rightfully belong. They are no longer my obstructions and are free to serve in the correct order.”
• The Freedom to Fly—The Chamber of Peacefulness breaks through the surface and into the sunlight. Look around you. You are in that magical land that you saw through the doorway in your Heart Chakra. The bubble around you disappears, because it is the natural atmosphere of the magical world surrounding you. You are in the Land of Peacefulness. The air around you moves, and you realize that you have become the butterfly that entered your heart. You fly high above the earth. Nothing hinders you. All good things are possible. “I joyously expect wonderful solutions to every situation. Divine Blessings lift me up, and Divine Wisdom guides me.”

I Love the Smell of Honesty In the Morning
Some time between the First and Third Degrees of Initiation, the disciple comes to attain a certain understanding of energy, focus, and intention. One of the great laws of the universe is the Law of Reflection—we receive back what we put forth to the power of 3 x 3. As we come to realize how this affects the quality of life and consciousness, we become determined to work the system properly. It is at this point when one usually takes on some type of vow to be truthful, to serve truth, or to be consistently honest. Of course, this sets the stage for several opportunities for enlightenment, testing, awareness, and transformation. Serving Truth puts one on a path with greater consequences than a disciple may foresee at the start. However, the places that this service takes one and the people that one meets along the way are rewarding, useful, and satisfying. Helpers come to those who serve in unexpected and delightful ways.
Truth is not simply a mode of accuracy or expression. It lies more in a person’s intention than in the words spoken or the equation configured. Sincerity and the intention to act with integrity make all the difference. At the point of contact between one mind to another, honesty can only be expressed through an empathetic connection and an Astral bond. Meaning, for a precise understanding between two intelligences, the Astral Bodies must have connection, and there must be an emotional motivation of harmonious unity. This point is extremely useful for those who wish to teach or reveal themselves to others. You can also see here that trust is a prime element for the transmission of verities. The emotion of trust creates a porous texture to the aura that allows all sorts of things in. This may or may not be beneficial. However, when trust is seasoned with prudence and alignment with the Spirit of Truth and Wisdom, then only good and nurturing things are allowed to enter your life and your thoughts.
An individual’s ability to perceive actuality is (of course) limited by one’s ability to understand fact and experience. One’s comprehension relies on intelligence, knowledge, experience, self-perception, and [most importantly] access to the Spirit of Truth. We close ourselves off from this fountain of reality when we allow desire or will force to cloud our thinking. When we invoke the Spirit of Truth to pierce the occlusions of our expectations, then we allow ourselves to understand the authentic universe.
There are certain hallmarks that come with this office. They are:
The Spirit of Truth Will Find You No Matter Where You Look
Prayer, oracles, psychic hotlines, religious organizations, self-help books, prophets on the street—they will all lead you to answers. Why? Because you are looking. The Spirit of Truth and Wisdom awaits sincere intention to understand. Then the mighty finger of enlightenment sends forth its blessing.
The Touch of the Spirit of Truth Causes Permanent Change
This is how you know that the Spirit of Truth has contacted you. It may involve a trivial detail or a major life change, but suddenly you cannot turn back to where you were yesterday. You are utterly different at a profound level. There is no effort involved in your transformed behavior; on the contrary, you feel energized. You are new.
Invoking the Spirit of Truth Gives You Magic Binoculars
Whenever you wish to understand the heart of a matter without distortion from your emotional static, you may pray that the Spirit of Truth let you perceive reality without any interference or occlusion (use your own words for this). Then you can trust your insight.

The Journey Is the Goal
The castle of our desire shines in the distance and beckons us onward.
We compare where we are to where we want to be and we feel restless.
Eventually we attain the citadel. The wonderful surprise is this—
the real objective is how we voyage.
The wish is nothing more than a carrot enticing our donkey egos to progress along the adventure.
Let us embrace the entire expedition—both the miles and the destination.
We set our hearts to move along the way with gusto.
